New Arrivals
Every Day!
Artyarns, Iris Schreier in
our stores this February
Have you ever seen something you just HAD to have? That was our feeling when we
rounded the corner and were hit by the luscious fibers and popping colors of Artyarns’
display during the 2008 National Needlearts Convention. And because something this
exquisite needs to be shared, we’re delighted to bring Artyarns co-owner and head
designer Iris Schreier to our stores this February 17th through the 19th.
TM
Judi made this comfy cotton kid's blanket out of
Mission Falls 1824 Cotton. Mission Falls will debut
new swirled colors in this popular yarn this spring.
Easy pattern!
Stephi designed this festive ponchetto using
Trendsetter's Dune and newest novelty, Cha Cha.
Stop in today and we'll give you the pattern free
with purchase of any Trendsetter yarn. Barry
Klein recently made a special appearance in our
stores to debut Trendsetter's fabulous new
spring line. We're glad to see fun and glitz
returning to knitting this season! Keep the
imaginaitive fibers coming, Barry!
Our lovely blonde bombshell from Boca, Miss Fran shows off
our wide selection of 26 colorways in the season's best
selling staple, MicroWash from our private label, Robin Turner
Back to Basics. We have scores of free patterns available
to support this super soft machine washable, dryer friendly
worsted delight. A perfect yarn for baby, family and afghans,
we'll debut variegated colorways in this yarn this spring!
At just $7.99 per ball, MicroWash continues to be an affordable value. Visit our website for creative downloadable
patterns using this yarn and many others.
Join our SuperKnitter Reward program simply by purchasing
$250 or more during one calendar quarter! In addition to receiving a $25 gift
certificate for yarn, SuperKnitters receive advance notice of new arrivals, designs
and classes as well as invitations to special events. Join today!

another stunning display of techniques coming out this April – Reversible Knits. And

We debuted our washable worsted microfibre last season and you responded!
Having sold over 3,800 balls of it in 4 months, we like to think we have our fingers on the pulse of what our knitters want. . . so, after months of development,
we present our latest staple in our Back to Basics collection, PRIMA PIMA!
A mercerized, super soft pima cotton in a cabled construction, Robin's PRIMA
PIMA works up 5 stitches to the inch on a size 6 or 7 needle--and, like the
MicroWash, it's machine washable! We'll initially roll out 20 solids and 8
tweeds, giving you a tempting and coordinated selection this spring. Retailing at
$13.99 for a generous 220 yards, you could concivably make a sweater for about
$69, a nice value! Look for Robin's PRIMA PIMA in stores soon.

West Palm Beach Store and Saturday April 18th in our Stuart store to read a passage from her upcoming release, Summer on Blossom Street. Bring your Blossom
Street series books with you and Debbie will personally sign them! Also, you may

POPULAR POTPOURRI PURSES!
Our best bohemian bag ever!
Mango Moon bag
forms have hit
SoFla with a vengence! An easy-toknit project, each
bag is made with 2 skeins of Robin Turner
Gourmet Fibers' Potpourri. Choose to make
a ribbed rectangle, or the pattern of your
choice, and then simply sew the piece right
onto the bag form. Choose from a variety of
colors in both leather and suede to make a
unique, one of a kind bag that's completely
lined, and finished with a magnetic snap, zipper pocket and cell phone compartment.
When you purchase two skeins of Potpourri,
you'll save $20 off the bag form through April.
POSTCARD FROM PALM BEACH
THE BENEFITS OF CROCHET - Learn a Useful Tool
We often find that knitters tend to stay in their comfort zone, while crocheters often refuse to let
go of their hooks. I know from first-hand experience that learning a few basics about both techniques can really give your projects a new dimension and enhance your love of the craft.
Some wonderful uses for crochet include embellishments, borders, trims, closures and finishing.
Crochet can stabilize a garment, tighten a neckline and gracefully adorn a project. Our finishers use it
all the time!
As a die hard knitter and reluctant hook holder, I’m here to tell you it’s not that difficult. Rebecca from
our WPB store taught me how to crochet a few years ago and I haven’t looked back. I now have a granny
square afghan underway that uses 10 different colorways in Noro. Check out the colors-fun fun fun!!
Plus, the project is portable, making it easy to knock out a few squares each night or while riding in the car.
If you’ve ever shopped at Anthropologie, you’ve probably admired their Bohemian selection of unusually
accessories. Most of these are crocheted by hand; because no machine can replicate it. The gratification of learning something new, coupled with a completed new work of art keeps it interesting. So, for
all you knitters out there: Pick up a hook and give it a try! As for your crocheters, remember this:
You can make knitting look like crochet but you can never make crochet look like knitting. There’s a
whole new world out there for you, too. Consider taking advantage of our $15 Beginners Class. At
that price, you can bring a friend. Try something new. You’ll be glad you did. xo RT
Great Balls of Yarn!
Most of our classes are $35 plus
materials for a two hour session.
If you see a class you’d like to
take and the time is inconvenient, tell us and we’ll try to form
a group to meet your schedule.
And, as always, we offer private
classes which are a great alternative. At $30 per hour, you
can make a “hit list” and get the
one-on-one attention to tackle
an array of techniques. Grab a
friend and learn some new tricks
of the trade!
