Work 2 beaded split rings (see page 1) then butterfly wings and head four more times then work 1 beaded
split ring and finally another beaded ring, the same as the first ring of the bracelet, but joining to the second
part of the bracelet fastening.
Cut, tie and secure the ends.
Turn under a double 1 4 inch (5 mm) hem at one of the end the ribbon and hold in place with a pin.
Pin the tatting to the ribbon then trim and turn a 1 4 inch (5 mm) double hem at the other end of the ribbon.
Sew the hem at one end of the ribbon to the first beaded ring then slip stitch only the beaded split rings to the
ribbon along one side. Sew the hem in place at the other end then sew the beaded split rings in place back
along the second side.
Pinch the butterfly wings together so that they stand proud of the bracelet.
Variation without beads
Replace the beads with picots.
As the split rings will be s little smaller without beads it will be necessary to work one or two more pattern
repeats to get the desired length.
