It’s no secret that Brandon Voss and Tony Fornabaio have crafted one of New York’s
most buzzed-about parties of the year, Club 57 at Providence. From the onslaught of

celebrity guests to the top-notch performers and world-class DJs, the party sure has
made its mark on New York nightlife already. To celebrate they are throwing an
anniversary blowout on September 11 with Kelly Rowland, Sandra Bernhard and a
military theme. With so many personalities under one roof, we just had to ask the boys
and their DJs for their favorite behind-the-scenes stories.
Ke$ha’s Bottle of Jack
“Hands down my favorite night at Club 57 was partying with Ke$ha. She is every bit as
crazy as the rumors you may have heard. Once the club closed, Ke$ha, Adam Lambert,
Dustin Lance Black and a bunch of our friends decided we weren’t ready to go home.
We had security get all the patrons out, lock up the club and kept the DJ spinning. At
one point Ke$ha’s manager came running over to me in panic and exclaimed, ‘I’ve lost
Ke$ha!’ We quickly conducted a search of the various now-empty rooms of the club
and discovered Ke$ha in the lounge passed out clasping a bottle of Jack [Daniel’s].
Apparently she had ventured off into the lounge to get a refill—a bottle refill not a
glass, mind you—and decided a nap on the way back was in order. Best part is when
we woke her up, she took a sip and headed back down to the party!” —Brandon Voss,

Janice Dickinson and the Kitchen Sink
“We’ve had Janice host Club 57 a couple times now. During her last visit, she had to
pee so bad she did not want to barrel through the crowds so she decided the kitchen
sink [was] an appropriate place to relieve herself.” —Tony Fornabaio, Promoter.
The Cockring Policy
“Providence [where Club 57 is held] is unique in the sense that it is the only venue I’ve
worked with that will manage to pack in a giant Bat Mitzvah early Saturday evening,
then host 2,000 gay guys for a nightclub event and then book an orthodox Jewish
wedding the next morning. Last fall, a rabbi at one of the weddings made a startling
discovery in the kitchen. Right next to his kosher meal, he came across a pile of
condoms. He was irate and refused to continue the ceremony. What he didn’t realize is
that the kitchen doubles as a dressing room for our dancers. After some investigation
we found out the dancers use condoms to tie their goodies up to keep themselves
looking “large” on stage. Club 57 dancers are now required to wear cockrings that can
be reused rather than condoms.” —Brandon Voss, Promoter

“My favorite story from Club 57 happens several times each week. The space I DJ in has

a low-hanging chandelier at its entrance. So when any drag queen walks over to say hi
to me, she invariably gets her wig tangled up in it. Some walk away with stunning new

Incognito Kylie and Fergie
“Kylie Minogue and Fergie celebrated Halloween with us at Club 57. Fergie came
dressed as Cleopatra and Kylie as a mime. Kylie’s entire face was painted and you could
barely recognize her. After a few cocktails, they both decided to go mingle with the
boys on the main dance floor. Both girls went down there and were dancing in the
middle of 1,000 gays. Everybody just thought they were two chicks in elaborate
costumes. Fergie was eventually discovered and had to be rushed back to VIP but
nobody had a clue the mime was Kylie!” —Brandon Voss, Promoter
Fresh Step
“Sometimes, we follow early straight parties at Providence. One night as the DJ I was
following packed up his gear, I noticed a small box filled with kitty litter in the corner
of the booth. He noticed my stare and explained: ‘Hey—sometimes the lines for the
restrooms are huge so I have backup.’ I dared to ask if he had ever used the box. He
said, ‘Just once so far. I like the clumping kind.’ Thank goodness he took the box with

Ke$ha’s Sloppy Seconds
“If you know Ke$ha’s album, you may be familiar with the track entitled “Stephen.” She
wrote the song about her first boyfriend [whom] she has never really gotten over.
Stephen joined her the night she performed at Club 57 and got so drunk he stripped to
his underwear and hooked up with Epiphany. We of course took pictures of the whole
thing and sent them to Ke$ha as a joke. She found it so funny that the pictures are now
displayed on the Jumbotron when she performs the song in concert.” —Brandon Voss,
