Yarndale Opening Times
We have had overwhelming support from exhibitors - this has resulted in our team vigorously promoting
Yarndale where and whenever we can in the hope that we have huge numbers of visitors to the auction mart
to make your visit to Yorkshire a success.
Directions :
Signs for Skipton Auction Mart can be found on all the major roads leading in to Skipton.
Skipton Auction Mart is off the A59/A65 roundabout (look out for the Little Chef). For more details see
map on www.yarndale.co.uk
Yarndale Opening Times :
Saturday 28th September 10am - 5.30pm
Sunday 29th September 10am - 4.30pm
You will be able to access the mart on Saturday and Sunday from 8am.
Set up Times :
Access to the mart for setting up will be from 2pm to 9pm on Friday 27th September.
Please go to the Yarndale Hub which will be located in the Exhibition Hall to say hello and collect your
exhibitor passes, Yarndale brochure, and car park passes. There will be numerous entrances/doors open
with access into the mart (see map). You will be able to park nearest to the entrance in relation to your stand
number and unload.
Exhibitor parking during show opening hours:
To maximise our parking potential for visitors it is very important to park your vehicles in the allotted
exhibitor parking area - you will be directed to this on Saturday and Sunday morning. If you have goods
to unload on Saturday and Sunday morning please do this before 9am and then move your vehicle to the
exhibitor parking area. A car park pass will be given to you on arrival at Yarndale - please display this in your
vehicle at all times during the event.
Accessible Parking :
There will be a designated accessible parking area near the rear entrance to the mart - please ask to be
directed to this area on arrival.
Information for your customers :
The Big Red Yarndale shuttle bus - This will leave Skipton railway station, calling in at Skipton high street
for anyone who wishes to take advantage of this mode of transport to the mart.
Catering
There will be three catering points during the show provided by High Laithe Catering.
Main Cafe - serving a wide selection of hot and cold meals, tea/coffee, cakes, sandwiches, soups etc.
Mart Cafe - pop up cafe in the middle of the mart which will be serving most of the above.
Coffee Bar - in the entrance hall, serving tea/coffee/soft drinks/snacks and homemade cakes
Cafe Opening times
FRIDAY:
Main Cafe - open from 12noon - approx 6pm/hot and cold snacks will be available (a self service boiler
will be available after this time to make tea/coffee)
SATURDAY :
Main Cafe - open from 8am for exhibitors, offering full breakfasts and hot and cold drinks and snacks remaining open throughout the day offering a selection of main meals, sandwiches, snacks, cakes and drinks
until approx 6.15pm.
The Coffee Bar in the Exhibition Hall will be open from 10am - 5.30pm serving tea/coffee/soft drinks/
snacks and homemade cakes.
The Mart Cafe will be offering a smaller selection of the food available from the Main Cafe - open from
10am until 5.30pm
SUNDAY :
Main Cafe - open from 8am for exhibitors, offering full breakfasts and hot and cold drinks and snacks remaining open throughout the day offering a selection of main meals, sandwiches, snacks, cakes and drinks
until approx 5.15pm.
The Coffee Bar in the Exhibition Hall will be open from 10am serving tea/coffee/soft drinks/snacks and
homemade cakes.
The Mart Cafe will be offering a smaller selection of the food available from the Main Cafe - open from
10am until 4.30pm.

All the pens are approximately 3.3m deep
The stands are surrounded by metal bars on each side which are approximately 1.5m high.
Every effort will be made to ensure the mart is as clean as possible but remember it is an auction mart!
Birds do have a tendancy to fly around the mart so we do advise covering your stand at night.
There is no electricity available to any of the stands.
Security
There will be security staff on duty overnight on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th.
There are also numerous cctv cameras located throughout the mart.
Tables
You will be able to collect the tables you ordered when booking your stand, at a collection point within the
mart. Please ensure these are returned to the collection point at the end of the event on Sunday evening.
Clear down on Sunday
We have been asked to vacate the mart by 6.30pm on Sunday evening in order for the mart to be re-jigged
for a large sheep sale the following day.
Please return your Exhibitor badges to the Yarndale Hub and please ensure no rubbish is left on your stand,
all rubbish should be taken to the bins provided.
Smoking
The mart is a no-smoking zone.
Toilets
The mart ladies and gentlemens toilets are located near the High Laithe Cafe - including two accessible
toilets. We will also have some extra toilets situated outside the mart including an accessible toilet at the
opposite end to the High Laithe Cafe - near the accessible parking.
Health and Safety
Prior to the show please ensure that you have carried out a risk assessment for your stand. During the show
please do not have any obstacles/equipment etc obstructing the aisles. Prior to the show please ensure you
have a written risk assessment available to show to the Yarndale team or any other authority.
Evacuation Procedure
In the event of an emergency the following Evacuation Procedure must be followed by ALL Exhibitors and
Visitors.
If the fire alarm sounds you are: required to evacuate the premises as quickly and as calmly as possible by
the nearest exit meet at the Fire Assembly Point opposite the front entrance in the car park.
Report to the Fire Steward. Registration will take place by the Fire Steward.
THERE IS STRICTLY NO ADMITTANCE BACK INTO THE PREMISES FOR ANY REASON
UNTIL THE FIRE STEWARD GIVES THE ALL CLEAR. DO NOT PUT YOURSELF OR
OTHERS AT RISK WITH FOOLISH ACTIONS
