Hot Surface Safety
1.
Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs and oven mittens.
2.
Do not place Food Mill on top of or
into hot pot.

Before every use, thoroughly clean
the Food Mill (see “Cleaning” section for instructions) and wash your
hands.

Follow Food and Drug Administration
(FDA) food safety recommendations
for cooking and food handling (www.
fda.gov). Also, refer to the following
safety information, taken from FDA’s
website:
a.Cooking times (if provided) are
estimated. Verify that all food is
properly cooked. Steam, roast, or
otherwise heat all pieces of meat
and eggs to an internal temperature
of at least 160° F1.
b.Keep hot food hot (above 140° F)
and cold food cold (below 40° F).
Do not let perishable food sit out
longer than 2 hours (1 hour in temperatures above 90° F).
General Safety
1.
The use of accessory attachments
not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may cause injuries.
2.
Wash Food Mill and all accessories
before first use and after each subsequent use.
3.
Do not put more than one blade at a
time in Food Mill during use.
4.
Do not exceed 2 quart max. capacity
of Mill during use.
5.
Inspect before use; do not use if parts
are loose or damaged.
6.
Use for intended purposes only.
7.
Do not use with bowl or pot wider
than 10” in diameter.
8.
Maintain labels and nameplates on
the appliance. These carry important
safety information. If unreadable or
missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools
for a replacement.
9.
Do not store anything other than the
manufacturer’s recommended accessories in this Food Mill when not in
use.
10. This Food Mill is not a toy. Keep
Food Mill and blades out of reach of
young children.
11. Allow older children to use Food Mill
only while under close adult supervision.
12. The warnings, precautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction
manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur.

1 Poultry should be cooked to an internal
temperature of at least 165° F. For whole
poultry, temperature measurement should
be taken in the thigh. To gauge shellfish
doneness, refer to FDA food safety guidelines.

1.
For additional information regarding
the parts listed in the following pages,
refer to the Assembly Diagram near
the end of this manual.
2.
Clean Food Mill before assembly as
explained in the “Cleaning” section.
3.
Select a Blade (3, 4 or 5).
4.
Place Blade rough-side up at bottom of Mill (1) base. Be sure to align
three tabs on edge of Blade with
three slots on inside of Mill. See
Figure 1, below. Be careful when
handling blades.
Unpacking
When unpacking, check to make sure
that the item is intact and undamaged. If
any parts are missing or broken, please
call Harbor Freight Tools at the number
shown on the cover of this manual as soon
as possible.

To prevent foodborne illness, wash all
parts of the unit before assembly in
hot, soapy water, taking care to rinse
completely.
Tab
Please note: The Food Mill is dishwasher safe.
2.
Dry with a soft cloth.
3.
Allow Food Mill to dry completely
before assembly or use.

Set the Handle (2) in center of Mill so
that end of Handle slides into center
hole of Blade.

Push down on Handle’s crossbar and
rotate crossbar until ends fit under
Mill’s side slots. See Figure 2,
below.

Fine Blade (3): For Purees
Medium Blade (4) : For Sieve cutting
that filters seeds and peels
Coarse Blade (5): To rice potatoes
and grate tomatoes.

Once the proper blade is inserted in
the Food Mill and the Handle attached, set the Food Mill above the
pot or bowl.
4.
Position Food Mill so that the sides
of the pot fit into the lips along the
bottom of each leg. This will allow
for extra stability while the Handle is
turned during grating or cutting.

Please note: Do not set Food Mill
on any pot or bowl wider than 10” in
diameter.

7.
To change Blade, press down on one
end of Handle’s crossbar and slide it
out of slot.
8.
Pull Handle out of Food Mill.
9.
Remove old Blade from Food Mill and
insert new Blade.
