At the 80 Pitti Immagine Uomo, Piquadro presents Sartoria (couture), a refined selection of professional leather
products handmade in Italy.
An original synthesis of design and tradition the handicraft Sartoria collection combines the technological heart of
Piquadro with the ancient craft of the Tuscan artisans. Computer briefcases, iPad carriers, notepad carriers and other
small stylish accessories are made by hand in a Florentine laboratory in which the art of saddlery has been handed down
over the generations. The inked edges, the visible stitching with waxed thread and the infinite care over detail
characterizing these products pay tribute to Italy’s centuries-old manufacturing skills.
The hide used comes from the celebrated Tuscan tanneries and is high-quality full-grain calf, soft to the touch and
vegetable tanned using vegetable tannins, quebracho, mimosa, chestnut extract, pure anilines and natural oils, following
a procedure that combines ancient traditions with the most modern technologies.
Each item of the collection has a serial number guaranteeing it as unique, while a small tricolore (the national flag) in the
address tag symbolizes the wholly Italian origin and production of this line. It can be purchased in one of the selected
Piquadro boutiques, where the collection is available in natural leather, or it can be created and personalized to order, as
a unique and original item.
Using an iPad application, the customer can configure to his or her own taste a selection of models in one of the three
available leathers and alternative colours, choosing from among three different types of finishings in metal, six colours
of thread for the stitching and three colours for the internal lining. The product ordered will be sent directly to the
customer’s home with a certificate bearing the name of the craftsman who made it. While an internal plaque in leather
will show the owner’s name together with the words ‘Made in Italy’.
The Sartoria collection will be on sale from September in all Piquadro boutiques in Italy and abroad. The personalization
and configuration service for ordering unique products will be available only in a selection of single-brand stores.

number and can be personalized to order, choosing between various hides,
metal finishings and colours for the stitching and internal lining.

Configured by the customer using iPad and selecting one of the hides, metal
finishings, stitching threads and internal linings available, it is a unique product,
handmade in Tuscany from refined vegetable-tanned nabuck, with inked edges
and visible stitching, in line with traditional saddlery processes.
Inside is a leather plaque showing the name of the person for whom it was
made, while a small tricolore (the national flag) in the address-label accessory
symbolizes the wholly Italian production of the Sartoria line.
The internal organization includes PC carrier, iPad® holder and several multifunction pockets.
