Dorothee Schneider wins on Max-Theurer’s Fackeltanz OLD
Dorothee Schneider struck back in the Small Tour: After 2nd place in the Prix St. Georges
behind Stefanie Palm, who celebrated the first Tyrolean victory on Schindlhof after 18 years,
the Amazons switched places in today’s Intermediaire I. The German Olympic silver medalist
scored elegant 73.342 percent on Fackeltanz OLD, an 8-year-old Oldenburg stallion owned by
Olympic champion Elisabeth Max-Theurer.
Yesterday immediately after her ride in the Prix St.
Georges, which earned her 2nd place, Dorothee
Schneider hurried towards Innsbruck airport to catch her
flight to Frankfurt and thus missed the award ceremony;
today last year’s winner of the GP and the GP Freestyle on
Schindlhof was happy to have time to stay. “Now I can
really enjoy the tournament here,“ the athlete from
Framersheim said. Yesterday, after her arrival in
Frankfurt, the dressage trainer drove 230 kilometers from
the airport to Perl-Borg, a town in Saarland near the
border to Luxembourg, to ride horses on Peterhof, with
which she will participate there in next week’s CDI4*. And
then she had to get all the way back to Fritzens. High
costs? “When I do something, then I want to get it done
properly.“ Right! A good example: winning the
Intermediaire with her personal best of 73.342 percent
with the agile 8-year-old stallion Fackeltanz OLD. “Yesterday in the St. Georges we made
two or three small mistakes. Today Fackeltanz was very focused. Considering his age of 8
years, he is very confident.“ Dorothee Schneider was full of praise considering the potential
of the Oldenburg stallion that is owned by Elisabeth Max-Theurer.
