From the city centre you will need an E or F bus going towards Exwick, Medley Court. These stop at
Sidwell Street (bus stop 18) and then along the High Street towards Fore Street. You will travel over
the Exwick Roundabout, past St Thomas railway station and along Cowick Road to the crossroads with
the First and Last pub on your left. The bus will turn right along Buddle Lane and you want the 2nd bus

take the small lane down the side of the playground which is on the left of the Youth Centre.
To return to the city centre, go down Savile Road to Buddle Lane, crossover and catch an E or F bus
outside Bubble It Launderette.
By Train
Exeter St. David’s Station is approximately 40 minutes’ walk away – come out of the station and turn
right along Bonhay Road. After about 0.5 mile, cross the river at Miller’s Crossing suspension bridge,
adjacent to the Mill on The Exe. Turn left and continue along the river to the road bridge. Leave the
river here and go up onto Cowick Street. Follow Cowick Street for about 0.7 miles to the traffic lights*
at the First and Last pub. Turn right here and take second left onto Savile Road. At the top of Savile
Road, there is a large red brick building directly in front of you, which is the DCC Youth Centre. If you
look to your left, there is a small playground with a bright yellow fence. The school is just behind and to
the left of the youth centre, down the small side lane beside the playground.
*Alternatively you can follow the route shown in red on the map by turning right opposite the church
and going into the park.
St. Thomas station is closer to the school – about 15 minutes’ walk and brings you out onto Cowick
Street, turn away from the city centre and follow the directions above.
On Arrival
If the wooden gate is locked, phone the person you are meeting on their mobile. If it is open (you may
have to pull the gate hard) then enter and you’ll find our building is on the left. The Hall is the first
entrance; further along there is a shallow ramp leading to the main entrance; alternatively you may
enter straight into the green room on the right which is further along again.
This path takes you to the gate of No.80
Merrivale Road which needs a good tug.
