How to Stimulate Our Families
Psalm 127:1-5
Raising a family is one of the greatest blessings
any mother or father could have. God is the one who
blesses us with our children and we will answer to Him
as to how we raised them. In 1 Samuel 1:10-11, Hannah
prayed to the Lord for a child and she made a vow to God
that she would give him to the Lord all the days of her life.
Hannah recognized that it was God who would bless her
with a child and that it was God to whom she should dedicate this child. Parents, have we dedicated our children
to God? Psalm 127:3-4 says, “Behold, children are a gift
of the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s
youth.” Parents, are we guiding our children in the right
direction? Has our family structure gone into a deficit?
Is our commitment to marriage on shaky ground? Is the
spiritual leadership of the father in the home going in the
red? Do we have more mothers making a living instead
of a home? Do our children know more about technology
than about God? In order for our families to be stimulated,
we parents must make sure we are building the right foundation. Our children are a gift from God and we will be
held accountable as to how we build.
Parents, the arrow is in our hands. The direction in
which we lead them is vital. The foundation of the home
is where our children are taught respect for God and others. The foundation of the home is where they feel love
and discipline. The foundation of the home is where they
are taught the Word of God. Parents, no one has a greater influence on the direction of our children than we do.
Parents, we must submit ourselves under the authority of
God. He should be the guide in establishing the foundation of every home.

Closing Prayer
Parents, we must never forget that our children are
a gift from God. He has given each of us the blueprint on
how to build our homes. We must realize that we’re laboring in vain if the foundation is not built on God. We are
accountable to God as to how we raise the precious gift
He has given us.

Prayers for the sick:
Are we truly building our
homes for God? Is your family under
the authority of God? What are you
laboring hard for everyday? Unless
the Lord is the builder or stimulator
of our homes, we will go deeper into
the red. We can do it only if we have
made up our minds to do it. Will we
allow God to build our homes?
