Sign up, start reading and get ready for the first “Tuesday Nites at the Library.” Any child who patronizes the Huntingdon Valley Library is eligible to read and enter books into his or her reading record at any time he or she visits the library over the Summer. Preschoolers who are able to read may also participate. Reading records will be kept at the front of the library on a table assigned for that purpose. There is a separate “Read-to-Me” designation for children who participate by having parents or caregivers read to them over the Summer. Please add “Read-to-Me” in the section that asks for the child’s school. To be eligible for a Reading Award at the end of the Summer, each child must have read at least 10 books. That’s an average of about just one book a week! Prizes will be awarded in each grade category to the boys and girls who read the most at their level.
