Find the small screw located at the top of the power sensor. Remove the screw using the Philips head screw driver. Slide the cover off. Remove the 2 AA batteries and install 2 new AA batteries. Be sure that they are facing the correct direction and are snug. Slide the cover back on and replace the screw. Zero Reset Tools Required: Small paper clip or Allen Key Why perform Zero Reset? Zero reset ensures that the power sensor is measuring the power output accurately. When batteries get low, the power readings can become less accurate. Zero reset restores the sensor to its original functioning state so that it reads watts as accurately as possible. Perform Zero Reset after initial installation and each time that batteries are changed. Locate the reset button hole on the power sensor (tiny hole on the back of the power sensor) Press the button using the paper clip or Allen key. You will feel a small click. After pressing the reset button, you must enter the settings of the console to complete the process. Turn on the console by pressing STAGE. Press and hold the light bulb button and AVG/END together to enter service mode, or see the SETTINGS screen. When you see SETTING, press and hold the light bulb button and AVG/END together one more time until you reach the ZERO RESET screen Rotate the left crank arm into a 6 o’clock position (straight down). Add resistance by turning the red resistance knob to ensure that the crank arm is completely still. Press STAGE to start the Zero Reset process. Numbers will appear. This number is not important for our purposes. Watch for one of two messages: SUCCESS or FAILED If you see SUCCESS, the zero reset process is complete and you can exit out of the console settings or let the console go to sleep. o Press AVG/END until you see BACK, then press STAGE. Repeat until you see USB. If you see FAILED, then your first attempt at a zero reset has not been completed. Press STAGE again to attempt another zero reset. If you now see SUCCESS, the zero reset process is complete and you can exit out of the console settings or let the console go to sleep (see above). If you still see FAILED, the zero reset has not been completed. Contact FreeMotion Customer Care at 1-800-201-2109 for further assistance.
