Introduction to IT auditing
This seminar, run by Wee Teong Cheah,
director of risk management services at
RSM Nelson Wheeler Consulting Ltd., will
outline the basic components of information
technology auditing. It will introduce audit
concerns and required controls as they apply
to IT, as well as techniques for auditing
currently installed systems and new systems
under development.

approach using inverse gamma distribution
to set sample sizes and project sample results

Insolvency
PRC
Insolvency preparatory I course
This course, designed for those wishing to
pursue a career in insolvency or related areas,
will be held on five Saturday afternoons
starting 27 February. It focuses on building
broad knowledge and understanding of the
basic principles of insolvency administration.
Course presenters are experienced insolvency
practitioners from accounting and legal firms.
Those who have successfully completed
preparatory I course or who have at least
18 months of insolvency experience can enrol
in insolvency preparatory II starting in May.

Development grants for
the service sector from
the Shanghai municipal
government
The Shanghai Development and Reform
Commission has allocated 200 million yuan
for supplementary grants to new businesses
with significant potential. In this seminar,
