How to find the Cicely Saunders Institute Cicely Saunders Institute, Bessemer Road, Denmark Hill, London SE5 9PJ Contact: Academic Team: 0207 848 5516 or Clinical Team: 0203 299 4060 The hospital and university campus is not served by any underground line, but there are rail services to Denmark Hill and Loughborough Junction stations. Denmark Hill is also on the Overground line (Clapham Junction-Highbury & Islington). Both stations are in Zone 2 of the London transport system. From Waterloo: take exit 2 from the station and cross over the road. From here take buses 176 towards Penge or 68 towards Norwood Bus Garage and alight at King’s College Hospital. From Victoria: take bus 185 towards Lewisham DLR station or take a train to Denmark Hill – (rail journey takes 9 or 13 mins) From London Bridge: take the Southern train to Peckham Rye Rail Station change here for a train to Denmark Hill station (19 mins) From St Pancras International (close to King’s Cross): take a train to Denmark Hill (22 mins) or Loughborough Junction (19 mins) Directions from Loughborough Junction: Exit the station onto Coldharbour Lane and turn left towards Camberwell Green. The 6th turning on the right is Cutcombe Road. Walk up Cutcombe Road, past the Weston Education Centre (WEC) on the right hand side. Shortly after the WEC there is a turning off to the right where you will see the Cicely Saunders Institute in front of you. Directions from Denmark Hill Train Station: Turn right out of the station onto Champion Park*. At the bottom of Champion Park turn right onto Denmark Hill. Walk down Denmark Hill towards King’s College Hospital. On the other side of the road after the hospital there is a turning on the left for Bessemer Road. Continue straight down Bessemer Road, where at the end of the road you will find the Cicely Saunders Institute. It is a new building and the sign is red. The location of the institute can be seen in the map below. *Please note that refurbishment work is continuing at Denmark Hill Station, so please check the maps below for reference. Location
