influence as are Eva Longoria, HRH Prince Azim and HRH
Princess Azemah of Brunei, Mariah Carey, Leona Lewis and
Jermaine Jackson just to name a few.
For the last 3 years The Noble Gift Gala has work together with
the most outstanding foundations, Make-A-Wish UK , The Eva
Longoria Foundation, The Great Initiative, Seven Bar
Foundation and Fight for Life all in all creating a substantial
difference in the lives of countless children and women in the UK
and worldwide.

impacted the world through their exceptional philanthropic work
with The Noble Gift Humanitarian, Philanthropist and
Philanthropreneur Awards .

The Noble Gift Gala is a unique international fundraising gala which brings
together the worlds of business, celebrity and philanthropy to raise funds and
awareness. We have come together under the notion that a combined effort of
parallel missions is more forceful than organizations working towards the same
goal non-unilaterally. The new wave of philanthropy is the united forces of
resources, organizations and synchronistic brands to have a transformative
Noble impact.
This initiative will be a tribute to those who help support and foster awareness
for children & the empowerment of women around the world. The Noble Gift
Gala will feature entertainment, dinner, a one of a kind live auction and a
special tribute to the recipient of The Noble Gift Philanthroprenuer Award Mr. John Caudwell, The Noble Gift Wanson Award - Mrs. Sylvia Young
OBE, The Noble Gift Philanthropist Award - Mrs. Ella Krasner and
recipient of the Noble Gift Humanitarian Award, seven-time Grammy Award
winner, Mr. will.i.am.

The Eva Longoria Foundation was established in 2010 by actress, activist and philanthropist Eva Longoria. This foundation has been established primarily
for, but not limited to, two charitable causes: women in the Latino community and children.
Mission:
To help women build better futures for themselves and their families through education and entrepreneurship
Overview:
Women play an important role in society, yet they disproportionately lack educational and economic opportunities.

Women account for two-thirds of the world’s illiterate adults
In developing countries, only 63% of girls enroll in secondary school
Women make up only one-third of non-farm wage earners
In spite of these discouraging statistics, we are optimistic about the future for women and girls, especially Latinas. Hardworking and dedicated to their
families, they are one of the world’s greatest untapped resources.
Our vision is to give women and girls the tools they need to reach their potential. The Eva Longoria Foundation supports programs which help girls excel
in school and attend college. Additionally, we work to provide female entrepreneurs with career training, mentorship, capital and opportunity. By investing in
women and girls, we hope to build a stronger future for our world.
Furthermore, The Eva Longoria Foundation will help raise awareness for children of all ethnic and racial backgrounds suffering from health-related
problems. Eva Longoria has been a spokesperson for Padres Contra El Cancer for the past nine years trying to improve the quality of life for children with
cancer and their families. Eva Longoria has also founded Eva’s Heroes in San Antonio, TX, in an effort to enrich the lives of teens and young adults who are
developmentally challenged.

The BIG fight for the little people
Fight for Life was formed in 1996 to raise funds to build a dedicated children's radiotherapy unit at the Middlesex Hospital, London.
In January 2000 the new unit was opened by Fight for Life's patron, Gary Lineker. The unit is equipped with a state of the art Linear Accelerator radiotherapy
machine, enabling treatment with the best possible precision and speed.
We have now moved to a brand new dedicated cancer unit installed at the new UCH hospital on the corner of Tottenham Court Road and Euston Road. Our Linear
Accelerator – the high energy radiotherapy equipment used for treating children’s cancers, bought with your money and now fully paid for, is coming with us and we
will also have our own brand new ‘children’s play area and waiting room, to give them some breathing space whilst waiting for their treatment. All this has meant
that the children under our care have been treated to the very highest standards, and the unit can now claim to be a world-class paediatric cancer treatment centre –
second to none. As far as we are aware, there is no other similar facility anywhere in the UK, with such a wide range of expertise and modern equipment. We then
launched a brand new appeal for a dedicated PET/CT scanner which has just been installed and Fight for Life are committed to leasing costs over the next few years
of at least £150,000 per annum.
Fight for Life has now announced our exciting and revolutionary new project for 2011-2012. TrueBeam™ - Fight For Life's 2011 / 2012 Commitment to the UCLH
Children's Radio Therapy Unit.
Change has been the inspiration for TrueBeam™ a new, state-of-the-art radiotherapy and radio surgery system optimized to destroy cancer. It has been built with
intelligent engineering, innovative features and intuitive operation. This is based upon years of research, and provides a capability that allows doctors to tailor
patients' treatments for their particular type of cancer.
This new machine will allow us to treat our children with cancer in the most accurate way. Imaging on this new unit is some of the best in the world. The
engineering innovations mean we will be able to treat children very quickly with the smallest fields possible – this will allow us to reduce the dose to normal organs
and tissue.
There is a fantastic inbuilt intercom system too, so it will be even easier for parents to talk and read stories to their children during Radiotherapy.
Fight for Life is staffed solely by volunteers and ALL contributions go directly to the fund.

working with him?
“Justin is fun and very cute – definitely a young
phenomenon. It was great working with him
because he’s so talented. The longevity of this song
still amazes and humbles me. I suppose so many
people have grown up listening to it that they have
many Christmas memories attached to it.”
Have you seen the sailors of HMS Ocean and their
version of the song on YouTube?
“I certainly have and I absolutely love it. It’s the most
adorable thing I’ve ever seen. Their ad-libs and lipsyncs are great. I think they might possibly know the
words even better than me. I tweeted them when
I first saw it, so I hope they’ve read my comments.”
Why is Christmas so special to you?
“It’s always had a magical, spiritual quality for me.

You seem to be in great shape again. How did you
get your figure back so quickly?
“I had a lot of weight to lose because I’d retained so
much water. I wanted something that was quick but
healthy. Someone recommended the Jenny [Craig]
programme and it was exactly what I was looking for.
The soups are to die for. I also did gentle aqua exercise
as often as I could. It certainly worked for me.”
Your love of the festive season is well known. Can
you tell us a little about your new Christmas singles?
“The first one is called When Christmas Comes and it’s
actually from my second Christmas album, Merry
Christmas II You. I’ve rerecorded it as a duet with
John Legend. I actually had him in mind when
I wrote it last year, because he has exactly the right
sort of vocal
25 for a song like this.
“I’m really influenced by classics like White
Christmas and I think this single has exactly that
sort of nostalgic 1950s, warm and cosy-by-the-fire
I just get this very whimsical feeling whenever I
see snow and Christmas trees and things. When
I was a kid, I’d spend the whole of the winter
thinking, ‘I hope it snows.’ Without it,
Christmas doesn’t feel right to me. And now
that I’m married to someone who’s just as
festive as me – well, that makes it extra special.”
How will you spend the holidays this year?
“I usually spend them with family and friends
in Aspen, because I love all the snow. I’m a bit
of a smash-hit wonder in the kitchen. This
Thanksgiving, I made turkey, cranberry sauce
and all the trimmings – it was such a success
that everyone asked for seconds. So I’m going
to do the whole thing again on Christmas Day.”
Do you think you’ll be singing round the tree
with the twins when they’re older?
“I wouldn’t be surprised – they definitely
respond to music and I sing to them all the
time. Nick wants them to be singers, but he also
wants them to go to college and get PhDs.”
You’re in London to receive a special award for
your charity work. Can you tell us a little more
about it?
“I feel very honoured to be given the Noble
Gift Humanitarian Award for my efforts in
helping disadvantaged children. Several years
ago I co-founded Camp Mariah [part of The
Fresh Air Fund], which helps inner-city
children to look at their educational and career
opportunities while enjoying camping
adventures outside the city. I’ve been camping
with them a few times, which is great, but
I haven’t managed to get out there recently
because of being pregnant. I’d like to go again
in the summer…
“But I’d have to say that, although it’s lovely
to be recognised for your efforts – and a great
honour – that’s not why I support charities. The
real reward is being able to be part of them.”
You were recently deemed Most Exciting
Woman in the World in a Japanese poll. What
do you think makes for an exciting woman?
“Maybe it’s simply to be excited about being
in the moment and really engaged about
what you’re doing. I like to sprinkle a little
bit of excitement wherever I go, especially
