An ADRC is the place for information and
assistance related to aging or living with a
disability. ADRC’s gather information,
answer your questions, and explain what
options are available to you.
ADRC’s are located in all counties in Wisconsin

The same I and A Specialist follows up on
your issue – giving you available resources
An I and A may contact you in a week or two
to see if the information given was helpful

Disability Benefit Specialists
 There are four disability benefit specialists at the
ADRC. They can help adults ages 18 to 59 with physical
disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental illness
and/or substance use disorders.
 How can they help you? They can:
 Provide accurate information on public and private
benefits and programs;
 Help determine which benefits and programs you may
be entitled to;
 Help you to fill out applications for benefits, programs
and services;

 Talk with you about your choices and the programs or
services that might best meet your needs;
 Providing assistance in obtaining or retaining benefits
and services;
 Provide referrals, assistance and support on other

Elder Benefit Specialists
 There are two Elder Benefit Specialists located at the
ADRC. They work with people 60 years and older who are
having a problem with their private or government
benefits. They have access to attorneys knowledgeable in
elder law; these attorneys are also available to assist older
persons in need of legal representation on benefit matters.
 They can also help older adults who need help applying for
benefits, or who have been denied a benefit that they think
they are entitled to receive.
