Sweet Ladies: Below is a sample fashion show script based on what the sweet ladies from Salem Baptist Church modeled for you on Monday, May 16th at the World’s Largest Tea Party attempt. Please know that a large part of the blessing in doing a fashion show like this is coming up with the outfits… making it your own! We pray that this may be just a sample and that you may truly experience the FUN in the fashion show as you develop your own script! “Welcome Ladies! Here is the “Fantastic Fashion Show” you’ve all been waiting for. An exclusive premiere showing of Top Secret Fashions by outstanding designers! If you want to be seen in clothes that make a statement on any social scene – the ones you are about to see will do it! Each design is an original and each is one of a kind! You won’t meet others on the street wearing an identical outfit to be sure! And what are we most interested in? CAN WE AFFORD THEM? Any of these outfits can be yours at a price you can well afford. Well… I know you can hardly wait – so now for the first showing in your neighborhood!” Outfit 1 Outfit Dialog Outfit Physical Description Lisa is ready to enjoy a spring day, or jump in the pool for a summer swim in this lovely “Tube Top”. This top is so versatile that it has even been used as a spare tire on family vacation. The multi- uses of this top makes it a must for every spring & summer wardrobe! Tube Top = Round intertube worn under shirt Lisa completes the look with her lovely “Bell Bottom” pants. These are worn by those who dare to walk to their own kind of music! Pocket book = purse with many pockets attached Lisa can carry an air pump in her original “pocket book”. You just can never have enough pockets, especially with a top like that! Lisa’s “Tennis”shoes are for women on the go! You can look good and keep that bounce in your step and in your day, while wearing such style! What can we say about her “Wide Brim” hat? Some things just speak to you, don’t they? Bell Bottom = pants with bells hanging from the hem Tennis shoes = sneakers adorned with tennis balls Wide Brim Hat = hat with fish(brim) attached to front 2 So fresh and creative, Margaret has outdone herself with this coordinated creation. Margaret can enjoy the sun and stay cool in her “Straw” hat. This hat is a complement to her lovely “wrap skirt”! Any dress looks better when accented with jewelry. Margaret is wearing this “14 Carrot” necklace, sure to get the attention of all who see her! Let’s hope she doesn’t run into Bugs Bunny! 3 Straw hat = hat with drinking straws on it Wrap Skirt = plastic wrap skirt on top of clothing 14 Carrot necklace = string with 14 carrots threaded on it To get her to all her destination, check out those “loafers”! Perfect shoes for a walk in the park or a picnic; just be sure to bring the chicken! Loafers = Shoes with loaves of bread on top Here is the popular “Print Dress” worn by Janice. She is really in the news with this hot off the press design! We’ve all heard of “wash n’wear” clothing – but how about “read and wear”? This should be great for those rainy days when you want to curl up and read. Janice will be black and white and read all over! Print Dress = newspaper print worn as a dress To complete her outfit, check out her lovely “pumps”. They are comfortable, affordable and of course, never go out of style! To accompany the pumps, we see her “Hand bag”. It certainly comes in handy! Pumps = shoes with squirt pumps attached to shoes Hand Bag = purse in the shape of a hand Beehive = literally a bee hive worn on her head Janice’s hair has arrived! This “Beehive” is so maintenance free! You just make one call to the exterminator, and you should be fine for the season! 4 Ladies for the day to day activities you need a comfortable and easy outfit. Jane has the perfect design. The “House Dress” makes a comes back in the fashion statement this year. When you need to look in the mirror and feel good at what you see, this is your dress! These are tailor made upon request and sure to be desired by all. Think about the possibilities, add a steeple and it becomes a “Church Dress”! Notice the lovely Ivy wrap for evenings. Check out the “outhouse” pocket book. – what a statement that makes! *Note: To keep safety a priority, it comes with a smoke detector which will give you early warning to get out! House Dress = a 3-foot house, similar to a dollhouse, made with neck and arm holes for wearing. Very bulky Outhouse = smaller house made to carry as purse 5 Doris is wearing a lovely 100% “cotton blouse” perfect for those warm temperatures of summer! Doris will stay cool in cotton. This should not be worn in those summer rains because of absorbency! Cotton Blouse = blouse with cotton balls all over it The expensive “Gold Chain” makes the statement words could never make. When you are not using it to accent your outfit, it is strong enough to tow a car! Tea lengh skirt = skirt with tea bags hanging from bottom Gold Chain = tow chain painted gold To complement that cotton, check out the “Tea” length skirt for those stately affairs! Jewell is sure to leave a brisk fragrance everywhere she goes! This is a classic Design created to quench the thirst for the rest. Is that a Luzianne or Lipton Design? Her “straw” hat tops off the feeling of spring and completes the look! 6 The variety in Holly’s design can not be touched – it can be harvested however! Holly has put a lot of time into this “Crop Top” and I must admit it does grow on you! Allergy medicine must be carried with you when adorning this top! Notice the “Pill Box” hat that not only looks great – it is evidence of how often Holly has worn this outfit! Crop Top = shirt ornamented with garden vegetables Pill Box Hat = a hat made from allergy pill boxes Baggie Pants = pants with ziploc baggies attached To complete this outfit, the “Baggie Pants” add the bags to put the crops in! Harvest time depletes the outfit, but don’t worry next year it will come back as beautiful as ever! Dare to be different, with Crop rotation! Good Luck! *Warning: DOES NOT WASH IN MIRACLE GROW! 7 Kim has agreed to show her new design “The Spaghetti Strap Top”. She has chosen to complement the top with this remarkable “Broom Skirt”. Kim is really cooking, and she is equipped to clean up the mess! Notice the “Mary Jane” shoes and “Sear-Sucker Bag” that really make this outfit complete. Kim’s hair is styled in the highest rage, “Pigtails”. If you have ever had a bad hair day – consider this style, no mess and total ease to wash and wear! Spaghetti Strap Top = top with strands of spaghetti as the straps Broom Skirt = skirt with several brooms hanging from it Mary Jane shoes = shoes covered with Mary Jane candies Sear-Sucker Bag = “Sears” bag with lollipops taped to it Pigtails = pink curly (fake) pigtails 8 Now for those formal events we have our “Ball Gown” worn by Carole. She is sure to have a ball in this one! Notice the unique, detailed, “Plunging Neckline”, a real example of high fashion. Being seen in this gown will no doubt be an unforgettable experience. The perfect complement to the gown are the formal “Glass Slippers”. So original and a real delight to our Cinderella. The hair is straight from France, with this great “French Twist”. The only time this would be better would be breakfast! 9 The outfit of the show has to be our bridal gown. This is the time of year women are getting married, and Susan is here with this unique design just in time for 2003! The “Scoop Neckline” sets off this glamour gown! This formal length gown is complete, with “flowing train”. Hopefully the marriage will stay on track. The beautiful “Finger Tip” veil, accents the gown and is truly a sight to see. 10 Now to end the show on a very up beat note, we wanted to show you girls the most used outfit you’ll have this summer. We have Jim wearing “Jim/Gym” shorts for all those many chores and workouts and “Gym shoes” to do the running you know you’ll have to do. Thank you Jim for running by to share your line!
