SEPA Health and Science Fun Camp for Middle School Students
June 5 - 8, 2016 in Omaha, NE
We are looking forward to seeing camp participants on Sunday, June 5th! Following, you will find some
important information about the camp.
Arrive at Kiewit Residence Hall: Sunday, June 5th between 3:30 – 4:00 pm (see map). Park in the lot to the
east building and check in at the front desk. The camp will begin promptly at 4:30 pm.
Address: The dorms are located at approximately N. 27th Plaza, Omaha, NE 68178 in the Creighton
University Campus in Omaha (see map). The school/community sponsors will get in touch with each
student to arrange the pick-up and transportation. Their names are provided below:

Ponca Tribe: Parents will be responsible for
transporting their children to camp location.
The camp will end on Wednesday, June 9th at about 2:30 PM
Pick-up will be at the same location (Kiewit Hall) that students were dropped off on Sunday.
NOTE: Students must be present throughout the entire event. There are no exceptions.
How to Dress: This is an informal and fun activity for students. We just ask that clothes be neat and
appropriate. Campers will NOT need to be “dressed up” for any part of this camp. For safety reasons,
ALL camp participants MUST wear close-toed shoes or sneakers for this camp at ALL times - No
Exceptions. Make sure to pack pants or skirts that cover the upper thigh while seated. We will be in Labs
most of the camp working with various chemicals. Upper legs must be covered for safety.
Dorm Rooms: Campers will be sharing a dorm room with one (or two) other campers of the same
gender. All boys will be on one floor and girls on a separate floor. Campers must bring all of their own
necessities. These dorms do not have air conditioning.
The Residence Hall will let campers borrow the following items (these will stay in the room):
– 1 towel, 1 washcloth
– Room Keys
– 1 pillow & pillow case
If these keys are lost or misplaced, parents will be assessed a $35 charge
– 2 bed sheets
by the dorm facility
You will need to bring:
– Comfortable sneakers
– Medications (if you take any)
– An alarm clock

Light blanket (if needed)
Flip flops for the shower
Personal toiletries – soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, toothbrush,
toothpaste, hairbrush/comb etc.
Optional things to bring:
– Some snacks to share with your group. (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner meals are provided).
– Some spending money for little extras during the field trip day
(While meals are provided each day, you may find other things or snacks that you want to buy).

Please plan accordingly so that you arrive on time. Camp activities will begin promptly at 4:30 pm. Kiewit Hall is a tall
9-story white building that is adjacent to Becker Hall and to the East (across) from Gallagher Hall. The dorms are
located at approximately N. 27th Plaza, Omaha, NE 68178 in the Creighton University Campus

To get to Kiewit Hall at the Creighton University Campus, plug this address into your GPS device or the online mapping
and directions tool N. 24th St & Cass St / Omaha, NE 68178
Then, follow the arrows on the map below. You will need to take Wareham Parkway/N. 27th Plaza (a campus access road)
to get to Kiewit Residence Hall.
If you are coming into Omaha, travelling Southbound on I-29, take Exit 53B to I-480West/Highway 6 (taking you over the
Missouri River and into Omaha). Go 1.5 Miles and take the 14th Street, Exit #3, Toward Old Market District/Creighton
University. Stay Straight to go onto Cass Street, Cass Street becomes Wareham Parkway / N. 27th Plaza, go around the
curve to your right. Look for the Camp signs and pull in to the parking lot. Then, walk to Kiewit Hall (entrance faces east).
