HOPPO door lock is used since April 1998 and it is without door handle. This system is replacing the old bullet catch system using a TT2 coil. One system cannot replace the other one. 2. INSTALLER INSTRUCTION AND SAFETY RULES This manual is written in compliance with the European Rules in force, so it contains: Information about machine technical features; Information about a correct machine installation, use and working; Instruction for ordinary maintenance; Check the electrical diagram inside the machine. This document is addressed to the installer and to the service man, who must be sure to have clear this instruction before to operate on the machine. This 10/02/2014 manual must always be available for consultancy. In case it should be lost, ask for a new copy to the manufacturer. The manufacturer is not responsible for any consequence due to a not correct installation of the part because of a not complete or missing reading of this instruction. Manufacturer reserve itself the right to modify this manual or the characteristics of each machine. Some pictures of this manual may differ partially from the part installed on the machine. Digram or technical data may be changed without any previous notice. 3. SAFETY RULES Do not respect the following safety rules, may cause damages to people, object or animals. Installation and maintenance of here described machine must be performed by authorized personnel, who knows the product and respecting the European Rules about industrial machines installation. The washing machine here described must be used only for linen professional washing: any other used is forbidden if not previously authorized by the manufacturer in written. Additional external connection to the machine will release the manufacturer from any responsibility, if they are not duly performed. These instructions do not cover all possible risks. User must always pay high attention and respect carefully the rules. 4. MANUFACTURER RESPONSABILITY The instructions written in this manual are not replacing, but completing the duties K1958BLOPO681_01 (E101112B_ENG) 10/02/2014 The 4 poles “male” connector is positioned on the left side of the door lock and it must be completely disconnected before to remove the mechanism. deriving from the safety and accident prevention laws. With reference to what is written in this manual, the manufacture is not responsible for: The connection has to be done by intercepting the two coil’s wires and the two wires for the door switch that are coming from the machine’s wiring. Then insert the wires of the door lock by respecting the right sequence of connection determined by the 4 pole “male” connector of the machine. a use of the machine against the safety and accident prevention laws in force. not correct part installation. missing of periodical and programmed maintenance. not observance, or not correct observance, of this manual instructions. electrical supply fault. not authorized modification of the machine. use of the machine by not authorized personnel. It would be recommendable to consult the wiring diagram of the machine for individuating the two wires for the coil and the two wires for the door switch. If the diagram is not present anymore, please wire the 4 pole “female” connector as the previous door lock that has dismounted. Mind the two blue wires are dedicated for the coil, the other two for the door switch. 5. INSTALLATION The door lock must be installed on the inside left side of the machine frontal panel . Access to the mounting area is made taking off the grey gasket from the machine front. The door lock is fixed to the frontal panel with two screws. A plastic protection is present to prevent a possible accidental contact with water. It the protection is not present, it can be order separately (code 2980735X). 3 K1958BLOPO681_01 (E101112B_ENG) 10/02/2014 LOCK MECHANISM (press to activate) ED9 BOARD: 2952CIRAPED9 GREY AND BLACK CABLE: DOOR OPEN CONTACT (N.C.) POWER BOARD: 2952POIM6IM9 UNLOCK MECHANISM (pull the string) BLUE CABLE: COIL 24VDC; 4.4~4.7 1958BLOPO681: DOORLOCK WITH PVC PROTECTION. 7. ELECTRIC CONNECTION Door lock is working only when the door is closed or the lock mechanism is armed. The 24 VDC tension arrives from the ED9 board (2952CIRAPED9) which is installed near the power board. The ED9 board i san electrronic transformer and it is always supplied with a220V tension on the terminal 3 and 4 of its connector. When the opening door key is activated, the power board closes the relay and a 220V signal come out form the terminal 1 of the connector CN1. The signal is brought to one of the coil blue cable and go to the terminal nr. 2 of the ED9 board. ED9 board and door lock are connected in line. 4 K1958BLOPO681_01 (E101112B_ENG) 10/02/2014 - Door close: contact closed. The test can be easily made using a normal ohmmeter on the grey and the back cable. To open and close the contact it is possible to press the lock mechanism and then pull the string to manually unlock the mechanism. 8. CHECKING THE DOOR LOCK Checks that can be made on this part are only two: 8.a) COIL RESISTANCE CHECK Coil can be tested giving a 24VDC tension (continue current) to the connector blue cables. Coil make only the unlock operation (release), to hear it working, it is necessary to arm the door lock pressing on the lock mechanism (or simply close the door). The characteristic coil resistance is equal to 4.4 – 4.7 and it can be controlled with a common ohmmeter. 8.b) DOOR OPENING CONTACT CHECK: door opening contact is normally closet and it works as follows: - Door open: contact opened. 5 K1958BLOPO681_01 (E101112B_ENG) 10/02/2014 9. DOOR OPENING TEST If the door do not open, please make the following checks: DOOR OPENS CHANGE KEYPAD (*) DOOR DOES NOT OPEN. DO YOU HEAR THE POWER BOARD RELAY CLICK? CAMBIARE SCHEDA POTENZA IF THE DOOR OPEN KEY IS PRESSED, IS THERE ANY CONTINUITY BETWEEN 1 AND 6 OF POWER BOARD CN1 0 or ∞: COIL DAMAGED, CHANGE THE DOOR LOCK CHECK THE COIL DOOR LOCK RESISTANCE CHECK CABLE 11 AND CONNECTION TO THE TWO COIL CABLES. IS DOOR OPENING? RESISTANCE VALEU BETWEEN 4,4 - 4,7 COIL IS OK ED9 BOARD IS SUPPLIED WITH 220V~ BETWEEN 3-4? (TERMINAL 1 - 2 FOR PREVIOUSE FIBER ED9 BOARD) CHECK 220V ON CABLE NR. 3 E NR 0. IF OK AND IT IS NOT WORK THAN CHANGE ED 9 DO AN ELECTRIC BRIDGE BETWEEN 1 AND 6 OF POWER BOARD CN1. IS THE DOOR OPENING? SISTEMARE IL CABLAGGIO E VERIFICARE CHE NON VI SIANO ALTRI FILI STRAPPATI. VERIFICARE LE SOSPENSIONI E LO SBILANCIAMENTO DEL CESTO MANUALLY ACTON THE DOOR LOCK TO CHECK ANY MECHANICAL PROBLEM. IF IT IS NOT UNLOCK, CHANGE THE DOOR LOCK. *OUTPUT TEST: - Microprocessor IM6: switch on the machine keeping the door closet and pressing together the keys MENU’, ENTER and MINUS. Using the keys PLUS and MINUS, look for the relay “PORTELLO” and press START. - Timer IM9: switch on the machine and keeping the door closed and pressing together the keys PROG2, PROG5, PROG6. Using the key PROG2 or PROG5 look for the relay “PORT”, and press START to activate it. 6
