01 Introduction
Our Company was established at the Technology
Innovation Center of Jeju National University on 1st May
2006. We supply food products, made by vacuum freeze
drying tangerines and cactus fruits.
To food companies and confectionery companies
nationwide, we have also carried our research on “the
development of bio-industry materials using tangerines
and active materials” and research was given an award for
excellence by the government in 2007.

Jeju tangerine as a health food
17th century Joseon medical book, Dong-yi-bo-gam, specifically highlights the positive health benefits of Jeju tangerines,
including, but not limited to, treating coughs and scurvy, in addition to preventing several minor ailments, such as colds.
Recent research regarding the tangerine’s bioactive compounds and nutrients further reinforces its renown as a Korean
health food.

01 Introduction
1. Background of the introduction of Sabotenhirame(Flatfish)
A study has found that Saboten(a kind of cactus), a Jeju local specialty product,
contains ingredients such as polyphenol, flavonoids, fiber, and ß-glucan.
Following the study, the Ilculbong Jeju Clean Flatfish fishery Union in corporation
is the first and the only to introduce a new feeding method of implementing
Saboten as feed additive in its flatfish cultivation.
2. Saboten Flatfish flesh component analysis
A study to measure the flesh component of Saboten Flatfish by the Korean Food
Research Institute has shown that Saboten-fed flatfish contains a large amount of
polyphenol and flavonoids.
