COMBINED SERVICE
Please note we will be having a combined service at 10.00am on

PUMPKIN PARTY Halloween Alternative Fun Event.
When: Friday 31st October. 5pm to 7pm
Where: WBC Hall.
Mainly for families and kids aged 5 to 13.
Games, Vegetales DVD, Talent Quest and Food.
PLEASE START COLLECTING PUMPKINS.

OP SHOP MANAGER
The position of Op Shop Manager will soon
become vacant. This is a part-time (25 hrs
per week) paid position. While a wide
range of skills are required we are
particularly looking for an applicant who:
has retail or sales experience and is
able to bring fresh marketing strategies
to the role
is able to successfully lead a team of volunteers
understands and is committed to the vision of the Op Shop to be an
extension of Waikanae Baptist in the local community
is a competent administrator
Applications in writing are invited, to be received by 28th October. These

and should include reasons why you feel you are suitable for the role.

LEGO VEHICLE COMPETITION
Calling all you creative Lego builders, don't
forget to bring your Lego vehicles to Church
next Sunday 19 October to be registered and
put on display for the following two weeks so
they can voted for.

BAPTIST MISSION FELLOWSHIP DISTRICT MEETING
Friday 17 October 10.30 at Waikanae Baptist Church.
Guest speakers, Richard and Sally, representing tranzsend, will be
sharing about their current work in South Asia and what their future
holds.
The meeting will conclude with a shared lunch so it would be
appreciated if you could bring a contribution of food for this.

CLEANING
Help is required to clean the church once a month, on a
Saturday for two people 1 1/2 - 2hrs tops. If you are
able to help in this area, please contact church office

This group will now be meeting upstairs on a Friday afternoon from
1.00pm to 3.00pm starting October 17th.
CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
If you are interested in being part of this year's
Christmas pageant please see Francie or ring her at

MISSION CAMPAIGN
A total of $12,645 was raised for our mission
campaign.
OP SHOP GRANTS COMMITTEE
Will be meeting mid November. Any requests for funding please contact
David at the Op Shop by Friday 7th November.

by the Opportunity Shop.

take away “new” pre-loved items....
