Carol, Patsy and Don representing the Waikanae Baptist Church, are just a small representation of over 2500 volunteer CRE teachers involved in state primary schools throughout NZ. With a significant historical event being celebrated in NZ this December we incorporated the arrival of the Gospel to NZ 200 years ago into our programme, followed by the message of peace and forgiveness through the life and death of a young Maori girl named Tarore. As the year draws to a close for the CRE programme in the two Waikanae schools there is the thought of what may 2015 bring. A challenge for next year and as an extension of the involvement of CRE in the local primary schools, is to consider how our church community can be involved in practical ways so strengthening relationships with the school communities and the church. PRAYER POINTS Pray that the doors will remain open for the programme to continue next year Pray for the end-of-year presentations of ventriloquism and magic by Ray Cooper as he wraps up the year of learning how to make good life choices based on Christian values May the programme have had a positive influence on the attitudes and behaviour of the students Give thanks for the great work and dedication of the CRE teams BMF SPECIAL OFFERING FUNDRAISER bOUNTIFUL MOTORS FUEL-UP CAFE SUNDAY 2 NOVEMBER OPENING HOURS 10.00 - 11.00 AM 12 NOON - 1.00 PM Cash or Eftpos accepted ******** Sunday 2 Nov - Final opportunity to vote for your favourite lego vehicle BMF SPECIAL OFFERING 2014 FUNDRAISER LEGO VEHICLE COMPETITION Bring your small change and big notes to vote for your favourite Lego model on display this Sunday, and next Sunday 2nd November.
