There is a buzz of excitement in their church at this time at the way God is leading their small fellowship. It was agreed that they should sell their existing Manse which had been let out for 10 years, and purchase a smaller new property in order to release capital to fund a part time church leader. They are now at the stage of pursuing who the Lord wants to lead their little flock in Stradbroke. They are praying for the right person to become available at the right time. Please pray for them as they continue this exciting but a little scary journey as they seek the Lords will in this matter. Please pray for Ron & Gillian Johnson, Reg and Eve Wood, Peggy, for the members of our fellowship, for those at home and not able to join with us, and for any who are sick or troubled in any way at all Please continue to pray for the Deacons. A few of us on your behalf attended a meeting on the 23rd Jan to find out more about what is going on and how we can help. There are numerous ways, something for everyone. Wed 10th & Fri 12th June there is an evening of music, drama, comedy and food held in the town hall. Help is needed with performing, acting, making authentic food for the time, costumes (sewing) and making props. Saturday 13th June there will be a procession and medieval fair. Help is needed for a whole range of things, from car park attendant to helping with the Free children games to stewarding. The request is for volunteers to give a couple of hours or more of their time. Jobs will be “graded”, depending on how responsible you are willing to be. The church is also hoping to have a book stall at this event which will need supervising. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your faith and become involved with the community. If you are willing to help on this day, please speak to Vivien Sargeant or ring 01787 278554 or email [email protected]. FOR YOUR DIARY The following conferences are coming up soon.
