It is also used to determine eligibility for scholarships awarded by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Students, bring two #2 pencils and a calculator. Testing time will be from 8AM-11:30AM. For sophomores: The PLAN test is designed to help students prepare for the ACT. Students, bring two #2 pencils and a calculator. Testing time will be from 8AM-Noon. ½ Day Schedule or Delayed Start Grade 9: With Core 8:15-11am Lunch 11-11:30am With Core 11:30-12:30pm Grade 10: PLAN Test 8:15-12pm Lunch 12-12:30pm Grade 11: PSAT Test 8:15-11:30am Lunch 11:30-12pm Grade 12: Delayed start - Arrive at school for Block W1 class at 12:30pm Grades 9-12 White Day Afternoon Schedule (12:30-3:15 p.m.): Block W1: 12:30-1:10 pm Block W2: 1:10-1:50 pm Block W3: 1:50-2:30 pm Block W4: 2:30-3:10 pm Express Buses - We are happy to report that there will be express buses picking up seniors for the later start time. Below is the information that you will need to ride the express bus on October 15. Please make sure you note the location and time. These buses will leave promptly and will not provide door-to-door service. It is the student’s responsibility to be at the locations specified. If your senior is unable to use the express bus, they have the option of riding their regular bus and arriving at school the normal time. However, since there is testing going on, the expectation is that they will have work to do and be in either the Library or Learning Center. Express Routes: WILLISTON/HINESBURG - Pick up at Allenbrook School. Bus arrives at 11:30 a.m. Leaves at 11:45 a.m. Goes to St. George Town Office and on to CVU. SHELBURNE/CHARLOTTE - Pick up at Fire Department/Town Offices. Bus arrives at 11:45 a.m. Leaves at 11:50 a.m. Goes to Steve’s Citgo, Charlotte at 12:00 p.m. to Spear’s Store at 12:10 p.m. to Lantman’s at 12:15 p.m. on to CVU. Upcoming Events CVU ALPINE SKI RACERS: There will be an informational meeting TODAY at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria. All students and parents (both new and returning) who are interested in joining the CVU Alpine Ski team should attend this meeting to discuss practice schedules, safety, races, attendance, and team policies. ✩ CVU Travel Seminar: Shakespeare in England 2015! ✩ WHAT? Study the most influential writer of the English language, in the country where he lived and on the stage for which he wrote! Earn .5 English or .5 Fine Art credit WHEN? Ten special days in England in July 2015, preceded by…four pre-trip seminars during the spring of this school year. WHO? Teachers, Robin Fawcett & Joe Greenwald, up to twenty-five CVU students from any grade! HOW? Celebrate National School Lunch Week! Today: buy a Breakfast Smoothie in the morning and get a 1/2 price Lunch Meal that day! Tickets for ONCE UPON A MATTRESS will be on sale all week during lunch periods in the school store. Performances are Friday & Saturday Oct. 24th & 25th at 7:30 and Sunday Oct. 26th at 2:00. Tickets are $6. for students & children and $8. for general admission. Get your tickets early to get the best seats. Picture Retake Day is November 3, 2014. The deadline to pick your letter up is 12/12/14. ****Driver's ED**** Any students enrolled in Driver's Education, Semester 2, must come to the Direction Center and show Helen your learner's permit. The deadline for this is 10/31/14. Great Advisory project, Key Club, or Grad Challenge!!! Red Cross Blood Services is looking for 3-5 people (students/adults) to serve as volunteers at the blood drive. Positions are: Greeters and Canteen (food and beverage) Servers. That’s it. The blood drive runs 12:30–6pm on Nov. 5th.
