MOBILE CHECK DEPOSIT NOW AVAILABLE
Eligible members using Mobile Banking
now have a simple, convenient option
for depositing checks into their credit
union account. Launch FCU has added
Mobile Check Deposit as an option in
Mobile Banking, giving members a new
deposit choice.
There is no cost to use this deposit selection, making Mobile Check Deposit a
useful alternative to visiting a branch.
Deposits made this way can be directed to your Launch FCU checking
account.
Launch FCU Mobile Banking app on
your handheld device and make deposits into your checking account.
There are only a few qualifications for
Mobile Check Deposit. You must be:
„ 18 years or older
„ A member for over three months
„ Have an active checking account
„ Be enrolled in e-statements
„ Have a current email address on file
with Launch FCU
„ A member in good standing
When a deposit made
through Mobile Check
Deposit has been credited
to your account, you will
receive a confirmation
email stating that the item
has been approved. It’s
simple and convenient.
Some items are not acceptable for mobile deposit. A list of these items is
available on our website.
The Launch FCU Mobile Banking application is available for iPhone®, iPad®,
and Android™ devices and smartphones. You can download the application at no charge. If you are currently
using Mobile Banking, simply update
your app to include the new Mobile
Check Deposit feature.

The World Council
of Credit Unions,
established in 1971,
observed the first
International Credit
Union (ICU) Day
more than 30 years
ago. Celebrate
the credit union
difference during
this year’s ICU Day
– October 16, 2014.
On October 16, 2014, credit unions around the
world will celebrate International Credit Union
(ICU) Day®. That’s 200+ million people … from
56,000 credit unions … in 101 countries joining
together to celebrate their cooperative spirit.
Globally, this cooperative spirit has led to lifechanging opportunities in the form of small business start-ups, home ownership, and education.
In some countries, members encounter their first
taste of democratic decision-making through
their member-owned credit unions.
This year, credit unions have been present during
the most tumultuous moments around the world.
Throughout the crisis in Ukraine, credit union volunteers were among the protesters in Kiev and
are now attempting to maintain financial stability for their members. With the help of the World
Council of Credit Unions, which is supported by
credit unions in the U.S., Ukrainian credit unions
are working on ways to ensure loans can be
made to those who need it, and upholding the
confidence of their members.
On the other side of the globe, credit unions in
the Philippines are dealing with the devastation left after the recent typhoon. With the help
of credit union organizations around the world,
they are now rebuilding and renovating affected branches to better fit members’ needs.
After such destruction, these Filipino credit unions
are helping people get back on their feet. And
credit unions worldwide are providing the basis
for development while serving local communities, with an unwavering belief in the “people
helping people” philosophy upon which we
were built.
Locally, as a member of Launch

movement—the credit union movement—working towards global

LAUNCH FCU BRANCH COMING SOON TO ORANGE CITY
Launch Federal Credit Union is expanding with a new branch in Orange City in Volusia
County. The new full-service branch will be located at the intersection of Harley Strickland Boulevard and Veterans Memorial Highway, in front of the West Volusia Towne
Center. It will feature a drive-thru, a drive-up ATM, ample parking, and safe deposit
boxes.
Groundbreaking on the new branch took place on September 24th and included
news coverage for the event. The new branch will join Launch FCU’s other branches
throughout Volusia and Brevard counties, and will allow consolidation of the nearby
Deltona location at this new, larger branch.
“We are proud and excited to be breaking ground on the new Orange City branch
which will serve much of the west Volusia area,” says Launch FCU’s CEO Joe Mirachi.
“As we move ahead into our next 50 years, we are happy to be able to continue our
growth by expanding into the Orange City area.”
Launch FCU hired local contractor Rhodes Building Company to complete the
building process. The building should be completed in April 2015. Watch our website,

bylaws, it is the duty of the Nominating Committee to nominate
at least one individual for each
vacancy on the Credit Union
Board of Directors. For the year
2015, there are three vacancies to
be filled on our Board of Directors.
Members on the Board of Directors
serve on a volunteer basis.
Five members have applied and
have been nominated by the
Committee. These members are J.
Albert Diggs, Jr., Charles E. Jenkins,
Jr., Charles R. Kesick, Yvonne Parker, and Richard R. Russell. Members
in good standing who have not
been nominated may be included
on the ballot by submitting an
election package (available at
any branch) and signatures of at
least 500 members of Launch FCU
who are eligible to vote for the
Board. This completed package
and petition must be submitted by
November 15, 2014.
Voting for the Credit Union Board
of Directors will take place at all
Launch FCU branches on Tuesday,
February 17, 2015, from 10 a.m. 4 p.m. Voting before the Annual
Meeting at the La Cita Country
Club in Titusville, Florida, will be on
Wednesday, February 18, 2015,
from 4:30 p.m. - 5:15 p.m., and the
Annual Meeting will follow at
5:15 p.m.
SHARE YOUR CHRISTMAS FOOD DRIVE
Launch Federal Credit Union will have a
food drive during the month of November
to coincide with WESH’s “Share Your Christmas”. Collection boxes will be available at
all Launch FCU branches from November
1st through November 30th for your donation of non-perishable food items. All donations benefit Second Harvest Food Bank in
Brevard and Volusia counties. Watch WESHTV during early December for Launch FCU
to deliver your donated food items.
