research and writing techniques. From the humanities to the sciences, the Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary
Preparation course is designed for anyone who has been away from formal education for several years. It is the
perfect course to get a greater degree of control over your future. Learn the skills needed for successful tertiary
study including time management, problem solving, research and assignment writing skills, exam strategies and
seminar presentation skills.

Career prospects:
This qualification prepares graduates for entry into University, TAFE, Australia Defence Force (now including Office
Entry) and the Public Service. Students will receive a rank through QTAC at the successful completion of their
studies.

Entry requirements
Learners entering this course must be at least 18 years of age or must turn 18 during the first semester. Sound
skills in Literacy and or Numeracy are required to be successful in this course. This course is an alternative to year
11/12 and is designed to prepare students for further academic studies.
Students studying Science units at Logan will be required to attend Griffith University for some sessions.
Students studying Chemistry at Mt Gravatt will be required to attend Southbank campus for some sessions.
Students studying Physics at Bracken Ridge campus will be required to attend Bracken Ridge SHS for some
sessions.
