GENERAL INFORMATION
DRESS REGULATIONS
Members of staff and Course Rangers are authorised to
approach Members and visitors if the dress regulations
are not being adhered to.
The Clubhouse General
a Blue denim clothing, sleeveless shirts and collarless T-shirts
are not permitted in the Clubhouse.
b Smart casual clothing is acceptable in the Burma Bar, Grill
and Lounge all day.
c Tracksuits and trainers may not be worn in the
Clubhouse.
d Spiked or rubber soled golf shoes may be worn in the
Bag Drop area, Locker Room and Professional Shop.
Day shoes must be worn in the Clubhouse.
e Tailored shorts may be worn during the summer months;
men must wear shoes, however socks are not mandatory.
f The wearing of hats in the Clubhouse is unacceptable,
with the exception of ladies’ formal hats.
g The wearing of swimming costumes, even when covered
by a sarong, is not acceptable.
h Children under the age of 10 will be allowed in the
Clubhouse, but must be fully clothed, and under the
supervision of an adult at all times.
Burma Bar Terrace and Grill Terrace
a It is acceptable to wear tracksuits and trainers.
b The wearing of swimming costumes only is not acceptable,
but is permissible if covered by a sarong.

Golf Courses and All Practice Areas
a Jeans and collarless T-shirts are not permitted on the
courses at any time. Ladies may wear sleeveless shirts
provided they are tailored. Leggings are not permitted on
the courses.
b Tracksuits are not acceptable on the courses, Driving
Range or any other practice facility.
c Spiked or rubber soled golf shoes must be worn on the
courses. It is acceptable to wear training shoes on the
Driving Range.
d Tailored shorts may be worn during the summer months;
men must wear either knee-length or short-white socks.
e Baseball hats or caps of any description must not be worn
the wrong way round.
TENNIS courtS
a Ladies - predominately white tennis shirts/tops.
Coloured tennis shorts or skirts may be worn.
b Men - predominately white collared tennis shirts.
Coloured tennis shorts may be worn.
c Children under seven years may wear a T-shirt on court
which must be predominately white.
d Coloured tennis tracksuits are permitted.
e Only predominately white tennis shoes and socks may
be worn.
f Gym tops, T-shirts, cycling or football shorts, jogging or
training shoes are not allowed.
Mobile Telephones
Mobile telephones are not permitted in the communal
rooms of the Club nor on any of the courses, Driving Range,
practice areas and Tennis Courts. Members of the medical
profession may carry bleepers or mobile telephones on any
of the courses or on the Tennis Courts. Mobile telephone
text messages may be retrieved but audible messages may
only be received or made outside the building.

HOW TO BOOK A TEE TIME
Members’ Weekdays Reserved Times
Tee times can be booked online via the Members’ area of the
website, by telephone on 01344 842201, or in person.
The following times have been allocated each weekday for
Members and their guests on all courses.
Online bookings
To make an online tee time booking, visit wentworthclub.com
and enter the Members’ area by clicking the link at the top
right-hand side of the page. Full FAQs and a step-by-step guide
are available at this stage to help you through the process.
Next, click ‘secure log-in’ or ‘tee time booking’ and once
within the secure area select ‘tee time bookings’.

Telephone and in-person bookings
The above procedure applies to two courses each day; the
third course will be allocated as the Members’ course for
the day and will operate purely as turn up and play with no
bookings in advance. All players should report to the Starter
when they are ready to play.
Bookings may be made either with the Professional Shop
on the day or pre-booked with Reception as follows:
Maximum handicaps
30 days in advance from 07.00.
Alternate times
are bookable from 10.00 15-16 days in advance.

Only one booking per person permitted
CANCELLATIONS
MEMBERS’ COURSE (GO AS YOU PLEASE)
Cancellations of pre-booked times must be made to
Reception or the Professional Shop at least 24 hours in
advance of visit, otherwise a cancellation fee may be charged.
Weekdays
Monday – Friday
A course will be allocated as the Members’ GAYP course for
the day and will operate purely on a turn up and play basis.
Tee times will not be available to book either on the day or
in advance and players should report to the Starter when
they are ready to play.
2-ball games playing may be invited to pair up by the Starter.
In the event of a competition, this will be played on the
bookable course.
Saturday, Sunday AND Bank Holidays
A course will be allocated as the Members’ GAYP course for
the day and will operate purely on a turn up and play basis.
Tee times will not be available to book either on the day or
in advance and players should report to the Starter when
they are ready to play.
Once again, 2-ball games may be invited to pair up by the
Starter. In the event of a competition the GAYP course will
commence after the competition has finished.
Please note: it is imperative that Members’ guests
playing on the GAYP course must check in at
Reception beforehand to pay the appropriate
Members’ guest fee and receive their bag tag.

GUESTS
Weekdays
Members may introduce up to three guests
during times reserved for Members (see below).
Weekends
Members may introduce up to three guests after 11.00 in
Winter and 12.00 in Summer. All Members’ guests using the
Wentworth facilities must be signed in the Visitors’ Book in
Reception and the appropriate fee paid before the start of
play. Please note that guests’ fees vary between weekdays
(day fee) and weekends (18 hole fee) and between Winter
and Summer months. Guests must be accompanied at all
times. The same guest may not be introduced on more than
six occasions during the year, whether by a different Member
or not. All golfing guests must produce a current handicap
certificate at Reception before play.
COURSE ALLOCATION
Members are requested to check the weekly course
allocation schedule on the Golf Notice Boards or on
wentworthclub.com Members area, where it is located
under ‘golf updates’ within the secure area.
HOW TO ENTER COMPETITIONS
Men’s, Ladies and Juniors.
Entry to all general Club Competitions apart from the
Mid-Week Monthly Stableford will be online via the
Members’ area. Enter the Members’ area by clicking the
link at the top right-hand side of the page. Full FAQs and
a step-by-step guide are available at this stage to help you
through the process. Next, click ‘secure log-in’ or ‘golf
updates’ and once within the secure area select ‘golf updates’.
Mid-Week Monthly Stableford
A ‘roll-up’ competition which is normally held on the first
Thursday of each month and is played on the Members
Course of the Day. Any alteration to the date will be posted
Online. Sign-in and pay entry fee with the Starter on the
1st tee.
Entry Cancellation
If you wish to withdraw from a competition you must do
so online though the same process that you used to sign up
for the competition. This option closes at 12:00 noon the day
before the competition. If you wish to cancel after this time
please email [email protected]. If notice of
a cancellation is not received a three competition ban will be
issued. In the case of a Member not knowing that his name
had been entered in a competition, the Committee has
agreed that the person who entered the name should be
responsible and should receive the ban. However, if the
person cannot be identified, then the player shall receive
the ban.
