Gracious Lord, forgive any spiritual smugness that lurks within our hearts. Look with mercy on the times when we are so easily content with the past, and fail to cope with the challenges of the present. Forgive our weak resolution to follow you when the going gets tough. Forgive us when our comfort and security dominate our thinking and decisions. Hear our silent prayers. --Silent Confession— Trusting in your fatherly goodness, do what you will with us, O God, Make of us what you will, and change us as you will. Through Jesus Christ our risen Lord. Amen. Assurance of Pardon *Gloria Patri WELCOME TO FOREST HILLS If you're worshiping with us for the first time today, we're so glad you chose to spend your Sunday morning with us.
