8:30 - 8:45 am $30 entry fee, and will forfeit the first round.
Schedule (approximate)
First Round as close to 9:00 a.m. as possible
Lunch between rounds about 11:30 am
Last Round starts about 3 pm, Awards end about 5:30 pm

Bring your own chess sets and clock (if you have one). There
will be a concession at the tournament to sell these, if you want one
Bring your lunch or lunch money, and a good attitude!

Players are expected to know the rules and how to play the game, but do not have to be expert, or very
experienced. Sections will be divided by daily rating or grade and will be limited to about 32 players. (16 in
Advanced) Trophies to the top 1/4 of players in each section, medals to scores above 50% (3 out of 5). School
awards will be determined by combining best 4 players in all sections. Tie-break: Solkoff then Modified Median.
USCF membership is required. You may join by adding the fee to entry check. For players in grades K-12, a
