STUDENT WORK
Students from G102 adopted the writing style of DrewDaywalt, author of The Day the
Crayons Quit. Here are some of their work.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Duncan, This is your unused crayon Molten Lava. I’m steaming lava mad because your always using red for lava and everything else that’s red. You need to start using me more of I’ll go looney tunes! Come on! You haven’t used me all year. I’m lava! Seriously! You could use of used me for your “sunset” at least. If you don’t use me at least once then I’ll go crazy and erupt! Your Unused crayon, Molten Lava aka Conner Yamamoto, Julius Miranda, Ruth Gordon, Jaedyn Stoner ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Duncan,
I am Lemony Lime, and I just want to ask if I could be one of the colors in a picture one day.
Let me be the grasses to beautify and give freshness to places. I can color frogs, dinosaurs and
eggs. I am green with envy because you don’t use me that often, I think that I am a cool color!
I am not a secondary color anymore.
Your friend, Lemony Lime aka Gene Bushaw, Eli Acevedo, Jonah Baxter, Shyla
Alvarez-Payapaya, Katie Dupont-Kauwe, Ke Alohi Palik
Duncan,
I am Wildberry. I heard what you did. You only use red, purple, green, yellow, orange but
never me…Wildberry. You make me feel like a “loner.” You can use me in rainbows to draw
a beautiful pony, draw thunderclouds or even a sky at sunset. So, I want, you to use me
more often.
Your lonely friend, Wildberry Crayon aka Kaeleb Orita, Brayden Okubo, Jonn
Bianchini, Lu’ukia Kanehailua, Heikoro Talasinga, Althea Esau
Hey Duncan,
It s Tropical Turquoise here, Please select me out of this box! You need to use
me more. I m tired of being a dust collector. I m never used to draw dolphins
like blue! You can at least draw a tropical island with an ocean or a blue flower or
a blue whale. Is that to much to ask?
Sincerely, Your left out crayon, Tropical T urquoise aka Kami Friday,
Tulensa Freddy, Sheynen Nahale, Brayden Ganir
