short of the needs of the
enterprise, what can we do to
improve individual
performance?
2. How can we determine when
training is the right solution, and
when it is a big waste of time
and money?

A message from our Membership Chair, Sherry Stern
At our next meeting we will learn how to help our employees Find the Shortest Route to
Competence led by Rich Makela. It makes me wonder whether we are helping ourselves and our
less experienced instructional design and learning development colleagues find the shortest route
to our own competency as professionals. We can only learn so much as individuals as we focus on
the day to day tasks of getting by in our roles. Come join us for the October meeting. Our smaller
group setting offers a comfort level to ask questions and to share your stories and ideas as you
learn. See you there and let me know if you would like to bring a guest.
Best regards,
Sherry Stern
