Rich Makela is the owner of Makela Performance Inc., an independent consulting practice working with businesses that need to get technical know-how into the hands and heads of engineers and technicians who design, install, operate or maintain complex systems and equipment. Rich has worked on technical training and performance support problems for more than 35 years, and has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University. It makes me wonder whether we are helping ourselves and our less experienced instructional design and learning development colleagues find the shortest route to our own competency as professionals. We can only learn so much as individuals as we focus on the day to day tasks of getting by in our roles. Come join us for the October meeting. Our smaller group setting offers a comfort level to ask questions and to share your stories and ideas as you learn. See you there and let me know if you would like to bring a guest.
