Ever feel that your early design relies more on content than the learner’s experience?
Do you get to the material review to find your client wants big changes that are
difficult to incorporate within the timeline? Do your clients find something left out,
want more interaction, or a more game-like experience?
Known for their best-selling ASTD book, Leaving ADDIE for SAM, find out why Allen
Interactions uses SAM (Successive Approximation Model) - an iterative, agile
development process to create meaningful, memorable, fun, learner-centric
experiences. Learn how it focuses first and foremost on the client’s needed outcomes
- not the form of delivery or technology.
The goal of this session is to help attendees understand the basics of the Successive
Approximation Model (SAM), CCAF-based Design, and measure their organization’s
readiness to follow a process other than the traditional ADDIE model.
In this interactive session, attendees will:
1) Learn about the essential process iterations to design and develop more
successful e-learning applications.
2) Define the essential components of context, challenge, activity, and
feedback (CCAF) to design e-learning applications.
3) Select the most effective design and development for your organization.
Lisa is the Strategic Relationship Manager at Allen Interactions, working with top
companies to ensure e-solutions are meeting their business needs. Prior to her
work with Allen Interactions, Lisa was a managing director at a top investment
firm where she led marketing and was part of several strategic ventures, and led
the business development for a leading advertising firm. She uses her more than
25 years of experience to continually add value to her relationships.

NEW E-Learning SIG!
Interested in expanding your e-Learning skill set? Join MNISPI’s NEW e-Learning SIG!
We are grateful for the Storyline 2 software gift from Articulate and will begin to learn
about it during our kick-off meeting: Thursday November 6th, Dunn Brothers Coffee
Shop in the Ramsey County Library-Roseville from 6:30-8pm.
Please join us, whether you know Articulate Storyline 2 and can share your expertise,
or are looking to learn. We are also looking for a laptop donation to hold the software.
Eventually, we would like to be able to offer our time to help non-profits and other
companies with their e-Learning needs, whilst gaining experience with the most
current rapid e-Learning tools.
See the monthly SIG meeting information below for more details, and email Sherry at
[email protected] if you would like to participate.
