New eLearning SIG *use entrance under skyway* 1667 Snelling Avenue N St. Paul, MN 55108 map Ever feel that your early design relies more on content than the learner’s experience? Do you get to the material review to find your client wants big changes that are difficult to incorporate within the timeline? Do your clients find something left out, want more interaction, or a more game-like experience? Known for their best-selling ASTD book, Leaving ADDIE for SAM, find out why Allen Interactions uses SAM (Successive Approximation Model) - an iterative, agile development process to create meaningful, memorable, fun, learner-centric experiences. Learn how it focuses first and foremost on the client’s needed outcomes - not the form of delivery or technology. The goal of this session is to help attendees understand the basics of the Successive Approximation Model (SAM), CCAF-based Design, and measure their organization’s readiness to follow a process other than the traditional ADDIE model. In this interactive session, attendees will: 1) Learn about the essential process iterations to design and develop more successful e-learning applications. 2) Define the essential components of context, challenge, activity, and feedback (CCAF) to design e-learning applications. 3) Select the most effective design and development for your organization. Lisa is the Strategic Relationship Manager at Allen Interactions, working with top companies to ensure e-solutions are meeting their business needs. Prior to her work with Allen Interactions, Lisa was a managing director at a top investment firm where she led marketing and was part of several strategic ventures, and led the business development for a leading advertising firm. She uses her more than 25 years of experience to continually add value to her relationships. *This program will not be available virtually, so please join us! 2014 -15 MNISPI Program Schedule *please note programs at the new Golden Valley location Date Topic November 18, 2014 Forget Everything You Know About ADDIE – Learn the Secrets of SAM Facilitator(s) Location* Lisa Stortz, Allen Interactions St. Paul December 2014 No Meeting January 20, 2015 Design Thinking in Training Laura Nedved, Chooser Apps, LLC Golden Valley February 17, 2015 Up-front Analysis - How’s That Working Out For You?
