Challenge (Age) 20”: 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50+, 30+ Master Challenge (Age) Cruiser: 8-10,11-12,13-14,15-16,17-18,19-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50+ All Challenge (age) classes age determination is “Year of Competition minus Year of Birth”, ie. age as of 31st December 2014 Pro classes 20”: AA, A Men & Women Subject to entry numbers, separate male and female classes will be run in all classes No run-offs will be run. In the case of riders with equal points after the motos, positions will be determined by a count-back on results and if a tie still exists, count back on lap times Where there are 8 or less competitors in a Class, a fourth Moto will be run in place of finals (BMXA ARA Rule E Transfers.4.i). NO INVITATIONAL FINALS WILL BE RUN. Pro classes do not count as an additional class No Transponder = no entry for Victorian Riders Riders must list their transponder number on the entry form. Interstate Riders will incur a $10 hire fee No late entries - no excuses Postal entries close at receipt of last mail on Friday 10th October 2014. Please allow ample time for Australia Post No phone entries will be accepted. Online entries close at 10pm on Friday 17th October 2014. Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the organizers. If accepted, the late entry will attract a late fee of $40 per class PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT IS ANIMAL FREE, SMOKE FREE AND ALCOHOL FREE WITHIN THE CONFINES OF THE CLUB’S BOUNDARY FENCE Awards Mini Wheelers: Sprockets: Age 20” & Age Cruiser: A/AA classes: 30+ Masters: Awards to all Mini Wheelers Awards to all Sprockets Medallions 1-3 Commemorative Plates 1-8 To share Prize Pool totalling $6,100 Prize Pool $500.00 Transponders All scoring will be by transponder. All Victorian riders (except Sprockets & Mini Wheelers) MUST have a transponder of their own. Interstate riders can hire a transponder for $10. It is the riders’ responsibility to ensure that the transponder is correctly fitted to their bike. There will be a transponder fitting & testing station at Registration. Riders competing in both Cruiser and 20” classes will use the same transponder for both bikes, (except Dynamite & Crackerjack riders where a 2nd transponder will be issued at no extra cost). If you are sharing a bike with another rider you must notify Registration in advance [email protected] Victorian riders needing to purchase their own transponder can do so from the BMXV website www.bmxv.com.au Pro Racing Information Pro Racing o to be run under UCI format and transfer rules per ARA Rule 4.E.6 (with exceptions as disclosed) Information on the Format The single run Time Trial run on Saturday will be used for moto seeding using the principals from UCI Rule 6.1.077. Riders not competing on time trial will be given a random moto seeding after all time trial participants have been seeded Gate starting positions per UCI Rule 6.1.021. I.e. Motos per UCI annex 2 Qualifiers and finals by seeding determined by lap time from the previous round (fastest rider has the first choice on the gate). First stage after the motos determined by lap time from moto 3. o Where there are 8 or less competitors in a class, a fourth moto will be run Pro Top 8 Shootout o One lap final with an eight man gate (if sufficient numbers) in each Pro Class o Transfer based on Top 8 in time trial o Minimum class size is five riders o No additional entry fee o The shootout has no influence on moto seeding which is based on the Time Trial results. Registration, Scrutineering & Practice All riders must register and produce their current BMXA licence Friday 21st November Saturday 22nd November Motos will be drawn after close of Registration. Registration: Scrutineering: 12.30pm to 4.30pm 8:30am to 11.30am sharp Random scrutineering will be conducted throughout the event. Official Practice: Friday: All classes1.30pm to 4.30pm. (See Final Instructions for groups) Saturday: Sprockets & Cruisers 9:00am to 11.30am (See Final Instructions for groups) Mini Wheelers 11.45am to 12.00pm (See Final Instructions for groups) Sunday: 20” 8.00am to 9.45am (See Final Instructions for groups) Full regulation protective clothing must be worn and all competitors must have the supplied number plate fitted to their bike during practice and racing. Conditions of Entry 1. All riders must hold a current Mini Wheelers, Sprocket or Open BMXA licence (NO FOUR MONTH LICENCES) 2. All riders will be provided with a number plate and numbers for this event. Bikes not displaying the supplied number plate will 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. not be permitted on the track. It is a condition of entry that this plate be used for the entire race meeting and other than numbers or stickers supplied by the organisers, no other numbers or stickers may be attached to the plate. Five (5) riders to constitute a class except in Mini Wheeler & Sprocket classes where any number will be deemed a class. If insufficient entries are received to form a Class at closing date, riders will be allocated to the most appropriate Class. Determination of age is age as at 31st December 2014. Riders must enter their natural age class. No refunds, unless: a) It is found after the close of entries that a rider’s nominated Class is not available; or b) A rider is injured or becomes ill prior to the event and produces a medical certificate, in which case an administration fee will be deducted. It is the riders’ responsibility: a) To check if an entry has been received. Entry lists will be progressively updated on the BMXV web site www.bmxv.com.au. b) To register, check Moto sheets or Points Café, attend Staging on time and ride in their correct Moto. Riders who fail to register will not be included in Moto draw. Invitational finals will not be run in any classes. No run-offs will be run. Section 4.I.4 ARA rule: The Chief Commissaire is the final authority at any competition and riders will be held accountable for the actions of their parents, team managers and any other persons in their company at a BMX competition or event. Any misconduct on the part of these persons may, at the discretion of the Chief Commissaire result in the disqualification / fine, the person removed from the track / venue area and recommendation to BMXA to have the rider’s licence suspended. Final Instructions Final instructions for practice groups and times, race format, presentation format etc will be posted online at www.bmxv.com.au after the close of entries. Riders entering online will receive notification via email. Redline Teams Trophy Competition The Redline Teams Trophy competition entry forms and details will be available on BMXV’s website.
