1.
Applications are invited from Bangladeshi citizens for admission to the Bachelor Degree programs in 2015.
Applicants passing HSC and GCE or equivalent exam in 2014 or 2013 and willing to get admission to the following
Bachelor Degree programs will have to apply through SMS & Web-based systems using ' Teletalk Mobile' from 01
December 14.
2.
Undergraduate Programs.
There will be TWO units namely Group A (Engineering Program) and Group B
(BBA) in BAUST Admission Test. The departments are shown in the following table with number of seats.

3.
Admission Requirements.
a.
For GP-A.
(i)
HSC or equivalent examination in Science Group with Math, Physics and Chemistry with
minimum GPA 3.5 (with additional subject).
(ii)
Sum of GPA of SSC and HSC should be minimum 7.5 (with additional subject).
(iii)
For GCE (‘O’ & ‘A’ level or Equivalent) applicants: Must have GCE ‘O’ level with at least five
subjects including Math, Physics, Chemistry and English and GCE ‘A’ level in Math, Physics and
chemistry with minimum GPA 3.0. Sum of equivalent GPA of GCE O and A should be minimum 7.0.
b.
For GP-B.
(i)
HSC or equivalent examination in any discipline with minimum GPA 3.0 (with additional
subject).
(ii)
Sum of GPA of SSC and HSC should be minimum 7.0 (with additional subject).
(iii)
For GCE (‘O’ &’A’ level or Equivalent) applicants: Must have GCE ‘O’-Level with at least five
subjects and GCE A-Level in three subjects with minimum GPA 3.0. Sum of equivalent GPA of GCE ’O’
and ‘A’ level should be minimum 7.0.
4.
Submission of application Form. Application is to be submitted online through MIST website (mist.ac.bd) by
paying Tk 750 (Seven Hundred Fifty) for both the Gp - A and Gp- B from 01 December to 20 December 2014 though
TeleTalk Prepaid mobile phone.
5.
Eligibility for Written Admission Test
a.
For Gp-A.
There will be an Admission Test on Maths, Physics, Chemistry & Functional English
(no multiple choice) from HSC syllabus for short listed candidates (approximately 8,000) for 03 Hrs.
Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of total GPA of SSC & HSC and ‘O’ & ‘A’ level result. Short lists of
eligible candidates will be published on 28 December 2014 in the MIST Website (www.mist.ac.bd).
b.
For GP-B. There will be an Admission Test for short listed candidates (approximately 3000) for
03 Hrs. Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of total GPA of SSC & HSC and ‘O’ & ‘A’ level result. Short
lists of eligible candidates will be published on 28 December 2014 in the MIST Website (www.mist.ac.bd).
6.
Selection Criteria for Admission. The final merit list will be prepared for both the groups on the basis of
marks obtained in the Admission Test plus the GPA obtained in SSC/HSC or GPA obtained in O/A level or equivalent
examination. The final merit list will be displayed in the MIST Website (mist.ac.bd) on 07 Jan 2015 along with
instructions concerning the final selection of the candidates and choice of program to be pursued. Details are available
