Please take some time to decide how you can help by teaching or assisting in one or more of our Bible classes. Through being active in the teaching program you will: (1) hone your own Bible knowledge and teaching skills, (2) balance the teaching responsibilities so that everyone gets breaks and no one needs to teach quarter after quarter, and, (3) remain familiar with this very crucial teaching ministry. Regardless of your experience, you can both help and grow in your ability to help. Please make your selections and return your sheet to David Gardner’s mailbox. Our annual Ladies’ Inspiration Day, with Renita Archey, is almost here. As November 8 approaches, there are many preparations to be made. Sheets for the various planning committees are posted on the Soul Sisters bulletin board, in the hallway directly across from the training room. Committee chairmen are in place and volunteers are needed for breakfast & lunch, door prizes, decorating, favors, hospitality, ironing table cloths, and clean-up. There is something for everyone to do. ~ Steve Daily Bible Reading Schedule Sunday: II Corinthians 4-6 Monday: Mark 10-12 Tuesday: II Corinthians 7-9 Wednesday: Mark 13-14 Thursday: II Corinthians 10-12 Friday: Mark 15-16 Saturday: II Corinthians 13-16 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12) Prayer List Tibby Beck Betty Carpenter Frank Carroll Pearl Couch Bob Kirby Charlene Lugger Michael McVey Phil Owens Virginia Rice Wayne Sebastian Foster & Deloris Sword Keith & Agatha Wallace Alberta Yonts Betty Beard [Holt] Emily Bishop [Corman] Bobby Bradley [May] Donna Campbell [Wilkerson] Donna Cochran [Corman] Crystal Cooley [Onesi] Kay Crawford [Bratcher] Rhodella Fleming [Fleming] Melody Gibson [McReynolds] Lance Gorlow [Gorlow] Bertie Jeffries [Faulkner] Regenia Kinder [Kilgore] Ken Marshall [Simpson] Charles Morris [Delpont] Jackie O’Donnell [Reilly] John Rogers [Yonts] Vicky Rogers [Rogers] Bill Silvia [Ray] Patsy Smith [Whitman] Larry Spicer [Spicer] Kathleen Stone [M. He weighed in at 8.3 pounds and is 20 3/4 inches long. All are doing well, and were expected to go home Friday morning. T h a n k Yo u Dear Ladies Bible Class, I am so grateful to have had the privilege to be with you and to speak to you from God’s Word and my experiences. Too, I was so humbled at the crowd that attended. It made me feel so blessed. There were at least six or seven congregations represented and I was very touched by all. I want to thank you so very much for the gift bag at the hotel for both Kay and myself. That was so very sweet! Thank you for the food, and the new umbrella that I needed because I just lost mine! The money for travel expenses was too generous. Most of all I loved being with all of you and I had friends there that I have known since a young married girl with no children. I love you all and thank you for the kind words expressed to me. Hopefully, everyone went away with lessons in their hearts to get them through their storms. Lovingly, In Christ, Vicky Rogers I n S y m p a t hy Dr. Byno R. Rhodes, the North Lexington congregation’s first minister, departed his mortal body on October 4th. Please remember in prayer his wife, Mildred, and their family. We offer our condolences to Jackie and Nettie Horton on the passing of Larry Thomas. They wish to thank the congregation for prayers offered on his behalf.
