Randy Wolfswinkel had hip replacement surgery on Friday in Dakota

Praying for our local congregations: This week please be in
prayer for God’s blessing for the Central Reformed Congregation
and the ministry of Pastor Van Rathbun.

October is Pastor Appreciation Month. The consistory would
like to encourage the congregation to show your appreciation to
Pastor Rog by word, with a card, or other gestures of appreciation
you so choose.
HATS! MITTENS! GLOVES! SCARVES!! We will be gathering these items for Mid-Sioux to pass out to adults and children
in need. Please place the items you have purchased in the basket
by the clothes line in the multi-purpose room. Last day for collection will be November 16. Let’s help LOTS of people to stay
warm this winter!!!!
Hope Haven’s 50th Annual Society Meeting will be held on
Tuesday, October 28 at Hope Haven in Rock Valley at 12:00 p.m.
Society members will have the opportunity to elect Board members, review recent audit and budgets, and receive the annual report on the ministry of Hope Haven. Hope Haven is a society
owned agency; therefore, you are encouraged to exercise your
membership and become involved in the business of Hope Haven.
Attention Treasurers: Financial Report forms are in your
mailbox. The end of our fiscal year is October 31. Reports must
be turned in to the church office no later than next week Sunday,
Nov. 2.
NEEDED: people to work at the Belgian Waffle Supper on
Saturday, November 8. There is a sign up sheet at the back of the
mailboxes. Please help make our supper and auction a success.

Join us for an afternoon of praise and worship on Sunday, November 2, at 3:00 p.m. Soul’d Out Quartet from Ohio is coming
again to Hull First Reformed Church for a benefit concert for our
building project. This group is young, energetic, and exciting.
They encourage their audiences and set a positive atmosphere for
the entire family while presenting a strong Gospel message.
Doors will open at 2:30 p.m. A freewill offering will be received
during the concert for the building project.
Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City, Iowa is excited to
host a mother and teen daughter conference November 7th and
8th. Special speaker Lynn Cowell from Proverbs 31 Ministries
will be facilitating a time for 7th-12th grade girls as well as moms
and mentors to explore issues around faith, self-image, and relationships. Don't miss out, register today at trinityoc.com
The annual Katelyn’s Fund Orphan Ministry Auction will be
held Friday, November 14 at New Life Reformed Church in
Sioux Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a freewill donation
meal served 5:30-6:30 p.m. and the auction beginning at 6:30
p.m. Childcare is provided. Katelyn’s Fund is still accepting
monetary and merchandise donations for the auction. To make a

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Operation Christmas Child enables you to share God’s
love with hurting girls and boys in the far corners of
the globe. Take an ordinary regular size shoe box, fill
it with toys and other presents, and you have an extraordinary gift for a child in need of joy and hope.
Brochures on how to pack a shoe box gift are in your
mailbox. Carefully read & follow the instructions
(standard size shoe boxes, please).
Don’t have a shoe box? No problem. Pick up a red &
green GO box from the table in the Fellowship Hall.
