Congratulations to October’s Student of the
Month
Tori Hutson, 9th grade, is an outstanding student who goes out of her
way to help other students as well as teachers. She is a leader inside and out of
the classroom as well as a high academic achiever.
Elizabeth “Lizzy” Greth was chosen as our 7th Grade Student of the
Month. Lizzy as she is known to all of us at Chiefland Middle School always has
the best attitude. She never lets her disability stop her from trying new things.
In her lifetime she has overcome many obstacles in her day to day activities but
always has a smile on her face. She is al- ways eager to learn. She is loved by all
that come in contact with her. If you are in a bad mood that will quickly change if
you are around Lizzy. One word to describe Lizzy might be “Precious”
Zach Turner was the 1st Place
Individual in Timber Cruising at the
FFA District 3 Forestry Contest on
October 16.
Central Florida Electric Cooperative is accepting applications for their Washington/Tallahassee Youth Tour. It all begins
with a two day expense-paid trip to Tallahassee. Six lucky juniors within our Tri-County service area, whose residence is
served by Central Florida Electric Coop., will be selected to attend. While at the State Capital they will become familiar
with our legislature and how it conducts political decision making. We will visit interesting places and you will also
participate in a chance to be one of three students chosen to be part of Central Florida Electric Cooperative’s Washington
Youth Tour. Be sure to ask your Guidance Counselor for details and applications, or visit our web site at www.cfec.com.
