This is so the entire ./build dir can get deleted and recreated via a very small set of build targets. Nothing in build is permanent. Different devices, different screen sizes, grayscale, color, color depth, input capabilities. Abstraction – define UI in abstract terms, rely on MIDP implementation to create concrete component Discovery – finds out about device at runtime and tailors UI. Mostly used for gaming apps. Also, there is a coupled management of the Wizard between different parts of the MIDlet. Control/management tends to spread out across methods.
