history. Our pubs, like our beers,
have a story to tell. They’re a perfect

Our autumn cask-ale range is for
the days when the wind rustles the
leaves and nowhere looks more
inviting than our pubs. And later,
when the frost nips the air, we’ll
stoke up some seasonal warmth
with our winter ale range.
Our cask masters roll out our
autumn beers from 1st September to
30th November, and our winter ales
from 1st December to 28th February.

EXPERTISE ON TAP
If there’s one thing we know, it’s beer. All our ales are Cask Marque
accredited and each pub has its own cask master – someone so singleminded about ale quality, nothing else seems to matter. For our cask
masters, a knowledge of beer is a knowledge of life.
We know a thing or two about wines too. Somewhere out there in the
world is a sun-drenched vineyard with your name on it. No need to book
your flight: we already have its wine in our cellar.
FOOD AND DRINK TOGETHERNESS
Red wine or white? Dark beer or light? Belgian or Dutch? If you’re not sure
which drinks go with which foods, we’re here to help. Don’t worry, we’re
not into out-of-date rules; instead we look for natural partnerships. Just tell

Lighter than traditional beers, with a crisp
and refreshing taste. This light, dry beer
has pleasant malt and hop notes with a
round dry finish
SIREN UNDERCURRENT
England, 4.5%
Undercurrent is part pale, part oats
and part caramel barley. Her swirls of
bold, bready and nutty malt whirl into
a concoction of spicy, citrus, floral hops.
Mystery lurks in those cascade and
palisade hops.

Within our historic walls, you’ll find the best traditions of the great
British pub: a superb range of cask ales from specialist breweries,
freshly cooked pub food, warm and genuine service and a vibrant
atmosphere. We’ve remained true to the Nicholson’s ideal: warm and
welcoming people living life to the full in beautiful buildings, brimming
with character. Welcome home.
William’s other great legacy was Lord’s cricket ground, home of
Marylebone Cricket Club. He lent the MCC the money it needed to buy
the ground and to build the famous pavilion, now a listed building.
In a subtle example of Victorian corporate sponsorship, the grateful
MCC changed its colours to the red and gold of Nicholson’s gin.
