Educating the future generation of Angolan
business leaders in the heart of one of the
world’s oldest Universities
For over eight centuries, leaders from across the world, and from all spheres, have come
to Oxford to study, to recharge intellectually, and to engage in important discussions.
Saïd Business School continues this tradition. The community in Oxford is everything you
would expect of a world-class business school: challenging yet collegial, thoughtful but
ready for action, ambitious yet principled, rigorous yet fun.
Our student body is incredibly diverse, with 96% coming from 43 countries around the
world, including the African region.
This internationality makes the character of our community unique, with no single
viewpoint or geography being dominant. The School is committed to preserving this
diversity, with the goal of increasing representation from African nations from 2.4% to
10%, both to ensure a balanced international classroom and to provide exceptional
students from Africa with the benefit of an Oxford education.
Compared with other business schools that are not part of a university, or one affiliated in
name only, we are truly part of the University of Oxford.
The opportunities and challenges facing business and society are large and complex,
and by teaming up with specialists from around the University, students will gain greater
insights into issues affecting business, government and society, equipping them with
the academic rigour and practical skills needed to address complex situations in the
workplace.
Ultimately, business schools have to produce powerful ideas, deliver transformative
education, and reach out to the broader world. Oxford’s unique history and tradition
enable us to do all three.
