Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate and engage our community during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Bubbles owner Vicki Joyce and daughter were surprised by the Humboldt County Cash Mob this October during Sales for Survivors. Thanks to Vicki and her crew for being such a great supporters of BGHP. Thanks to Old Dog for playing at our Pints for Nonprofits at Mad River Brewery in Blue Lake. And thanks to the volunteers who staffed our info table. BGHP supporters Kate and Tera enjoyed a dinner at Abruzzi in Arcata. Kate and Tera were spotted at many of the Sales for Survivors businesses who were donating proceeds to BGHP in October. Thanks Kate and Tera, local businesses and everyone who shopped and dined as part of Sales for Survivors! The Arcata High Volleyball team showed their support for BGHP by wearing their pink uniforms, and putting on a fundraiser for BGHP in October in memory of someone who passed from breast cancer. Thank you! Warmliner Gina Belton, and Breast Health Navigator Kelley Devlin-Lake, tabled at the Festejando Nuestra Salud Health Fair at Redwood Acres. Thanks to the Humboldt State University football team for selling hats and hosting BGHP at the October 25th game, as part of Punt, Pass & Pink. Thanks to Board Members Chris Martinek, Susanne Pasztor and Melissa Jones for staffing our table. Thanks to the Bayside Grange for hosting Zumbathon! Thank you to Marla Joy, Zumba instructors, raffle donors, sponsors, volunteers and participants for making it a great day! We are looking for someone to join our staff to help us continue to provide the highest quality services possible. Cancer survivors with excellent history of managing people and volunteers wanted. Familiarity with medical system navigation desirable. The position will have the support of Medical Consultants Drs. Mary Meengs and Julie Ohnemus.
