The event will feature keynote speaker Richard Roush, incoming dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State, who will discuss the impact of the increasing demand for food, bioenergy and fiber on agriculture and how leveraging the strategic and innovative prowess of the agricultural sector will help ensure that the local economy continues to thrive. Roush received his undergraduate degree in entomology from the University of California, Davis and his doctorate in entomology from the University of California, Berkeley. Since then, he has worked in a variety of higher education settings and frequently consults for such corporations as Dow AgroSciences and Monsanto.
