Please let me know ASAP if you are able/would like to sing/play in either or both of these groups and what instrument you would play. They have models of all ages and are using New Look, M & Co and some Bridal wear from Cancer UK. They have raffle prizes including a night at The Castle Hotel Conwy and a meal for two at Pen y Bryn. Tickets are £10 adults £7.50 OAPs and £5 children. Please book in advance by contacting Anna or I for tickets - 01492-573969. Christmas Holiday Club Party A Christmas Holiday Club Party for 4s to 11s is happening on Friday 12th December 2014 at 4.00 p.m. We are planning crafts, games, music, drama and party food. Your help is needed, particularly with making and serving food. DBS checks are needed, but there is time to get them done if you volunteer early. Please contact Sue Eckersley and Angela Roe. Lamb and Mutton for Sale We now have meat on sale from our sheep flock. As last year we will be selling whole and half lambs as well as individual joints and packs of sausages and mince. There is a limited supply of mutton. For any sales to people from St Johns we will make a Gift Aided donation to the Redevelopment Fund. At the MethSoc-organised WWI Remembrance event on Saturday 29 th November in the Main Arts Lecture Theatre, I am co-ordinating refreshments and would appreciate offers of help to make cakes/biscuits and also to serve these with drinks after the talk by Rev. Urgent: Furniture Wanted! At Penmaenmawr Foodbank we have been helping a homeless man called Nicholas. Recently, Liz, who started the Foodbank, got him temporary housing in Llanrwst, which he has kept absolutely immaculate. They are prepared to offer him permanent accommodation on Monday if we can find him a bed, a microwave or oven, a chair or settee and a fridge. (We have already found a table) Can anyone help with any of these, please? Joan Warner. Circuit Quiet Day This year’s Circuit Quiet Day, led by Audrey Aspey, will be held on Monday 17th November at Beechwood Court, Conwy from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost for the day, which includes lunch and refreshments, is £18.50. Women’s Fellowship Our warmest thanks to Allan and Margaret Jones for their lovely welcome for our meeting on Tuesday 4 th November, and for their beautifully illustrated talk on their Rhine cruise. Our next meeting will be at Stella’s in Rhosmeirch on Tuesday 18 th November (2 for 2.30 p.m.), when we will hear Jennifer Roberts (Jean’s daughter) talk about her new job as Children, Youth and Families Ministry Enabler in the local Church in Wales.
