Mike Brown The month of October ushered in Fall weather which seems to me a good reason to see what’s happening at the Lodge in November. We have Football games and Thanksgiving Celebration at the Lodge. Also, we have the greatest Tuesday Night Dinners around for a great price of $5.00. October brought us several events with the “50-60’s Dance” presented by Brenda Daulton. Then we a visit from one of our other Kentucky Lodge’s that brought several busloads of Moose members that had an enjoyable time. Lately we been trying to get the Karaoke started back on Friday nights. . I would like to thank all those who work so hard to make our lodge the fun place it is. Keep abreast of what is happening via our monthly calendar and Sue Hertzenberg’s e-mails. There are a number of upcoming fun events coming up before the end of the year. Thanksgiving Dinner at the Lodge set for November 22nd. Then we have December where the Kid’s Christmas party scheduled for December 7th and the Adult party on December 20th. Finally, I would like to take the time to say Thank You to all our VETERANS who have served our great country. We as Americans more times than we think take for granted all our freedom that we have in this great country. So, on November 11th, take the time to say Thank You to our veterans and give them the respect by honoring them. God Bless Them All. In closing I would like to say that our lodge is a great place to enjoy a few cocktails and some great meals. So, come on out and enjoy the Tuesday dinners from 5 to 7 p.m. along with some cold cocktails. . William Cobb Moose Newsletter Deadline MATERIAL MUST BE SUBMITTED By the 15th of the month. William Cobb Senior Regents Column Greetings to all WOTM members If you didn’t make it to the 50-60’s Dance held on October 17th, you missed a good time. The ICONX duo, husband and wife, played some great tunes. Many got out on the floor and danced all evening. The fundraiser was a huge success. We had five baskets in the Chinese Raffle and Charlie Yates took away three of them; Carla Gaines took away one and also won the split the pot. The young lady doing the DJ with her husband won one of the baskets with only one ticket bought. You will have another chance to get out on the floor November 8th for Janet Benton’s fundraiser, A Tribute to Elvis. Janet and I already checked him out and can verify he gives a fabulous show. We need you members to come out and support the fundraisers while having a good time. In the meantime, be sure to make it to the Halloween party for the kids, followed by a party for the adults on October 31st. Karen Yates will be preparing the Tuesday night dinner on November 4th. I will be doing the dinner on the first Tuesday in December. Check out the bulletin board to see what will be served. Watch the bulletin board for more information concerning the Thanksgiving dinner. Our Co-Worker of the month is Dana Born for her organizing the Moosettes for a Cause. She has a group of approximately ten (+) that meet every other week making lap blankets for the residents of care centers. Way to go Dana, keep on doing this worthwhile project.
