It’s hard to believe November is
here! I love this time of year...the
beautiful golden colors and the smell
of the crisp autumn air. Most of all,
as Thanksgiving nears, I love being
reminded of how blessed I am and what I have to be thankful for. This
Thanksgiving take time to look around and see how God has blessed you and take the opportunity to tell the special people in your life what they mean to you.
Please join the staff, children and families of Let Me Shine in singing praises of Thanksgiving
during our annual Thanksgiving Chapel Service and Potluck Feast. The service is Tuesday, November 25 at 11:30 am. Everyone is welcome to attend Chapel and invited to the delicious potluck
meal following the service. See you there!
“Come; let us sing to the Lord! Let us give a joyous shout to the rock of our salvation! Let us come before him with Thanksgiving. Let us sing him psalms of praise.”

winter stuff with their name. Thanks so
much!

Miss Heather’s Busy Bees
Dear Parents,
Our bees are very busy in Room 1 this month. With every passing week, the kids
are talking and interacting more. Thank you to all our families for making our Halloween parties special. The kids loved having a special pumpkin hunt and "trick or
treating" around the school. In November we will focus on being thankful for all
that God gives us, especially our families and the people that love us. Parent- Teacher Conferences will be held Nov. 10-14 if you would like to meet with me. The
Book Fair will also be that week if you would like to earn volunteer hours.
In His Service,
Miss Heather
Miss Lorna’s Little Lambs
OCTOBER is now a memory of farms, Fall leaves, pumpkin
patches, and Halloween. Miss Barb cleaned & carved a pumpkin
for us while reading the Pumpkin Gospel. After, we went on a
Pumpkin Hunt and found our very own pumpkin to take home. Miss Genie also
lead us in some fun songs.
NOVEMBER will be a great ride! We are going to learn about Transportation and
celebrate Thanksgiving. Please join us on Tuesday, Nov. 25th at 11:30 A.M. for our
annual Thanksgiving Chapel & Pot Luck Lunch. Everyone is invited! A sign-up
sheet will be posted and a reminder will be sent home.
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES will be held the week of Nov. 10th 14th. I will put out a sign-up sheet for this, also. I am very excited to meet with all
of you and talk about your wonderful children. Please visit the Book Fair during
that week, too.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD boxes are here so that we can start filling them
up by November 14. More information will be sent home about this.

Miss Sabrina’s Blessings
Hi Parents,
We had such fun at our Harvest Parties… It was so great to
see the kids dressed up. We have been so busy learning, playing, and growing. We
talked about the letter D for dog, and dog spelled backwards is God. God is our
watchdog looking over us and watching what we are doing. We took a break from
our letters for our pumpkin hunt. We had a great time finding pumpkins around
the church yard. All the pumpkins big and small, bumpy and smooth, orange and
green they are all different and unique just like us. That concept led us into the
letter E for elephant which we talked about how we are called to “Stand Out for
Jesus” by being loving and kind. Flamingos, fruit and firemen is what we talked
about with the letter F. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful children with
me. We will be losing our friend Henry at the end of the December. They will be
moving back to Australia. Needless to say; I have room for another friend in my
class if you know of anyone who needs a preschool for their child.
Miss Chris’s Critters
Fall is my absolute favorite
time of the year! I love the
cooler temperatures, beautiful
fall colors and all the exciting
activities there are to take
part in. Miss Chris's Critters
have been busy participating in
these wonderful activities. So
far we have embarked on a
spectacular nature hike, visited a pumpkin
patch and put our creativity to the test in
the classroom making seasonal crafts. I've
enjoyed watching all my little critters exercise their minds in the class and I am very
proud of the fact that they are mastering
writing their names and the letters. Way to
go Critters! Keep up the
good work! Miss Chris
Miss Kristina’s
Ladybugs
November reminds us of how much we
are thankful for! As we count our blessings in class please remember to bring in
donations for our Operation Christmas
Child box. Now that we
have our first service learning
project under our belts
(preparing art supplies for
the 18 month old class) we are eager to
spread the love of Jesus beyond the school
walls. Within our classroom the learning
continues. Last month we were entomologists and pumpkin specialists. This month
we will become marine biologists and
chefs! Parent-teacher conferences will be
the week of November 10th; please look
for the sign-up sheet outside the classroom. We will end the month by celebrating Thanksgiving with our families at the
school feast.

Miss Amy’s Little Monkeys
I love your children!!! They are so precious and I am truly blessed to
be a part of their lives. Friendships are blossoming and kiddos become
very concerned if one of their friends is not at school.
Where does milk come from? Well, we milked the cow...made some butter...even
set up our own grocery store. The children had a great time stocking the shelves,
shopping and running the register. Once our store closed we ventured outside for
a nature walk and took a good look at the beauty God has given us. We also put on
our play about baby Moses. The kids took turns playing the mother, king and princess;
they
loved
being
part
of
the
story!
We ended the month celebrating Harvest Time and studying gourds and pumpkins.
Each one is different and has something special inside and out...just like us!
A special thank you to all of the parents, who helped out this month with cutting,
our nature walk and Harvest Parties. I appreciate your help so very much and the
kids love having you take part in our day
In His Grace,

Sweet Lord Jesus,
For little hands and little voices, I thank you.
For tender hearts and twinkling eyes, I give you thanks,
For anxious and willing learners and for those who push the limits of all that I am
and make me what I could never be otherwise, I bless your Holy Name. Your precious little ones have made me great, for it is through them that I encounter the
heart of God.
This month of Thanksgiving, let us all reflect on how very much good surrounds us
all. I am especially grateful for the wonderful families and children who are in my life
this year. Our classes are becoming like little families, and we are growing in trust
and friendship. I smile as I think of your precious children. They are just such fun!
Special Birthday wishes to Christopher, Zoe, and Jonathan!!! They are all turning 3
yrs. old this month!

Mrs. Cowan’s Calves
During a recent elder bug incursion, one little boy, couched in
a corner of the play yard, filled his pockets with crawly creatures. He moved quickly, not wanting to be seen aiding and abetting the invaders. When the bell rang, he lined up, eyes straight ahead, one hand protectively
covering his pants pocket. I whispered, "Do you have a plan for all those bugs?” He
eyed me cautiously before answering. “Well, yes- to give them a better
home.” Thank you Gus, for giving us a great example of a spiritual truth: One reason Jesus came was to give us critters a better home.
Highlights Past: Hunting for signs of Fall, Frog life cycles; comparisons: frogs and toads, turtles and tortoises (ask your child to tell you the differences).
Letters and numbers, songs and Bible truths.
