Tours

Carol Richardson
250-758-2025
The Sidney Tour included the BC Aviation
Museum (Peter Kistler, retired pilot in the
cockpit of the Trans Canada Airlines Viscount)
and the Shaw Marine Centre.
We have had a successful year with fun trips enjoyed by many. Next year will start with a tour of the
Legislative Buildings in Victoria watching our MLA’s in action (or inaction), lunch in the executive dining
room, then a stop at Royal Roads, with a visit to the Hatley Museum.
!
Our big trip next year in early September will be a Wine Tour of the Okanagan. We will be away for 2
nights, and will include a visit to the NK’Mip Desert Cultural Centre in Osoyoos. We are giving you lots of
warning so you can plan your other holidays around it.
!
Many members would love to go to Painters at Painters Lodge again, so we may plan to revisit some old
trips.
Drinks and Appies
Coordinator: Cathie Novak
250-390-1428 or [email protected]
Our gatherings take place on the 4th
weekend of the month. Dieuwke
Steenstra will host on November 23,
from 4:30 - 7 PM. Look for sign-up
sheets at the next meeting. We would
also like more people to sign up to
host these events after xmas. For
more information, call Cathie Novak.
The host provides plates, napkins,
coffee & tea. Guests bring an
appetizer to share, & their own
labeled glass and drink. Since the
size of the home dictates the number
of guests, you need to sign up at the
meeting.
