 NEWS RELEASE November 5, 2014 For more information: Dr. Greg Zerovnik Interim Director, Marketing and Public Relations (909) 384-­‐8978 • [email protected] SBVC Announces Three Finalists for College Presidency Rebeccah Warren-­‐Marlatt, Gloria Fisher and Diana Rodriguez to Appear at Campus Forum on Thursday, November 6th, Starting at 9:00 a.m. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (San Bernardino, CA)—San Bernardino Valley College has chosen three finalists in its search for a new president. All three are residents of the Inland Empire with considerable experience in higher education. Rebeccah Warren-­‐Marlatt, EdD, is Vice President of Student Services at Crafton Hills College. She has 30 years experience in higher education, with 20 years in community college teaching, counseling and leadership. Her EdD is in Leadership for Educational Justice from the University of Redlands. Dr. Marlatt has expertise in planning, assessment, accreditation, student support and conflict resolution. Gloria Fisher, JD, has devoted her career to San Bernardino Valley College, starting as an instructor in the college’s Administration of Justice program with promotions to chair, dean and vice president. Since April 2013 she has been Interim President of SBVC. Her Juris Doctor degree enhances her administrative effectiveness, with vital knowledge of educational law and policy. Diana Rodriguez is a resident of San Bernardino and currently the Vice President of Student Services at Las Positas College. She has over 25 years of experience in education at both the university and community college level, including eight years as a vice president. She holds both a Master of Arts in Education and a Master of Business Administration. San Bernardino Valley College News Release 1 The forum will take place in the college’s business conference center, room B-­‐100, starting at 9:00 a.m. and each candidate will have one hour for their presentation and question-­‐and-­‐
answer session. There will be 30-­‐minute breaks between sessions. The entire session will be streamed live online for those who cannot attend in person. The URL for the live stream is http://valleycollege.edu/PresidentForum. In-­‐person and live attendees will be able to fill out evaluation forms, which will be forwarded to District Chancellor Bruce Baron for his consideration. The forum will begin with Dr. Warren-­‐Marlatt from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Dr. Fisher will be next, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Ms. Rodriguez’s presentation begins at 12:00 noon and runs until 1:00 p.m. Call Dr. Greg Zerovnik, Interim Director of Marketing and Public Relations, at 909-­‐384-­‐
