Beau Street Hoard
in Paulton
This unique hoard
was excavated by
archaeologists on the
site of the new
Gainsborough Hotel
in Beau Street, Bath
in 2007 and is one of
the most
remarkable
archaeological
discoveries to have
been made in Bath in
recent times.
The 17,577 silver Roman coins span the period from 32BC
– 274AD and were found in eight separate money bags,
which were fused together.
Find out how the hoard was discovered, look in detail at
some of the coins and make a replica coin to take home.
Sat 8th November, 11.00 - 4pm and illustrated talks at
11.30am and 2pm, Paulton Village Hall. All welcome.
Tesco Farm to Fork visits
Children will be exploring where our food comes from with
visits to Tesco. They get to make their own bread, taste

Well done to the netballers: Freya Sage, Freya Hallett, Alice
Ford, Keeley Mears, Victoria Sales, Emmaline Feast
Michael and Amaya Rowe, who took part in the annual
Netball Tournament at Somervale School on Tuesday night.
They all played brilliantly against Peasedown St Johns,

Our Language of the Term for Term 2 is German.
And a huge thank you to everyone who supported the
Cam Valley Arts Trail last Saturday. It was great to see
so many people both enjoying looking at and also
having a go at art.
