The Toilet Paper “Always been tubeless!” November 2011 Sand volleyball court is near completion Performing Arts Series continues ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The HCC Student Life is pleased to announce that the sand volleyball court is nearing completion. Once completed, the court will be able to host intramurals and tournaments. The court is located behind the right-field wall of the softball field. Hill College choirs in concert ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The HC Music Department will present the HC choirs in performance Thurs., Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m., in the PAC. The choirs will be performing various famous ballades mainly focused on the music of Scotland. The Vocal Ensemble will perform “Danny Boy” and “Ballade to the Moon.” Several vocal soloists will be featured including: Mike Ahlert, Marcie Allison, Pretti Bell-Love, Courtney Daughabaugh, Brandon McCormick, Josh Newby and Ashley Rodriguez. Student pianist Jungsoo Lee will accompany the choir on several pieces with music faculty, Larry McCord, also accompanying. The Performing Arts Series continues on Tues., Nov. 29, with the Waco Community Band performing in the PAC at 7:30 p.m. Admission is FREE! Organized in 1981 by Roger Rush, the Waco Community Band consists of amateur and professional musicians from throughout Central Texas. The band rehearses weekly and performs frequent concerts each year during its 10-month season. Quick Cutz: Things to know ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• e The Hill College Community Choir will present their fall concert on Sun., Nov. 13, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. They will be performing Mozart’s “Coronation Mass.” e Special kudos to the Hillsboro Cosmetology students for doing the hairstyles of the actors in the “Red Hot & Cole” production. Great job! e TheJoe White Basketball Classic is Nov. 11-12, with McLennan, Cedar Valley and Jacksonville as participants. e Nov. 23-25 Thanksgiving break! Don’t forget final exams begin Nov. 30. Halloween at Hill College: An entertaining tradition like none other! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• HCC: Baseball players at the cafeteria before their annual Halloween costume practice.
