Fortimo LED Line Generation 2 • Designed to replace fluorescent lighting in new luminaires for general lighting applications in office, retail, industry. Fortimo LED Line Square • Ideal for 600x600 office applications where the luminaires require a very homogeneous exit surface window. Fortimo LED Line High flux • Ideal for application at higher application heights where more light is needed, such as trunking, battens, high-bay applications. 3 Product introduction Why do you need a Fortimo LED Strip Gen3? Fortimo LED Strip systems are ideal for use in designer or miniaturized, slim linear luminaires for architectural applications, which were not previously possible with fluorescent lighting or Fortimo LED Line. Enabling design of high-performance slim linear LED luminaires 4 Key applications Where can you use Fortimo LED Strip Gen3? The LED Strip systems are ideal for use in luminaires for direct lighting in offices, banks, schools, public buildings, supermarkets and anywhere where fluorescent lighting is the dominant choice. Perfect mix of design freedom and high energy efficiency 5 Refresh our memory What did the Fortimo LED Strip Gen2 portfolio look like? Modules • Fortimo LED Strip 102 mm 375 lm LV • Fortimo LED Strip 1 ft 650 lm LV CCTs • 3000K, 4000K, 6500K Efficiency • 116lm/w @ 4000K • 132lm/w @ 4000K Color rendering index: >80 Color consistency: 3.5 SDCM Lifetime: 50k hrs 6 What is new vs. previous generation? Fortimo LED Strip Gen3 vs Gen2 State-of-the-art LED module efficiency of up to 165 lm/W Range upgrade • Performance upgrade: efficiency up 22% vs Gen2. • Design remains unchanged Range extensions • New 1 ft 1100 lm module in HV and LV • New 2 ft 2200 lm module in HV and LV • Symmetrical LED positioning and 20 mm width Why the inconsistency in design within the LED Strip portfolio? 7 What is new vs. previous generation? Fortimo LED Strip Gen3 vs Gen2 Quality of light • CRI 90 (4000 K) added to the portfolio • Cool white CCT 850 added to the portfolio • Excellent color consistency of 3 SDCM Robust push-in connector including wire stopper, which assures full wire insertion without damaging the connector Wide (Tc) range from -40°C to +80°C providing more freedom in application usage System release with our non-isolated Xitanium Industry drivers 8 Value proposition Full portfolio overview Fortimo LED Strip Gen3 Fortimo LED Strip will enable you to design high-performance slim linear LED luminaires, without compromising on design freedom, quality of light or total cost of ownership. 9 Key benefits Fortimo LED Strip Gen3 10 High quality of white light • High color rendering (CRI >80 and >90) • Excellent color consistency of 3 SDCM • Variation of color temperatures (3000 K, 4000 K and 5000 K) • Perfect uniform light output Total cost of ownership • State-of-the-art LED module efficiency of up to 165 lm/W • Long life-time: >50,000 hours Design freedom • Two lumen packages: 650 lm and 1100 lm per foot/280 mm • Small width of 18.9 and 20 mm • Combinations of modules are possible • Wide TC range providing freedom in application usage Smart System • Wide range of driver choices with multiple dimming protocols • Freedom to adjust current settings and differentiate on lumen output, efficacy or lifetime • Choice of isolated or non-isolated systems • System warranty of 5 years Key benefits Fortimo LED Strip Gen3 High quality of white light CRI >80 and >90 Fortimo LED Strip is specified with a minimum of CRI 80 or 90: • CRI >80 for linear general lighting applications • CRI >90 recommended in color-critical applications such as hospitals 3 SDCM Excellent color consistency of 3 SDCM minimizing color difference visible to the human CCT 3000 K, 4000 K and 5000 K Range of three color temperatures to cover most applications: • Warm white (around 3000 K) — Super markets, department stores, libraries, office areas • Neutral white (around 4000 K) — Offices, schools, showrooms • Cool white (around 5000 K) — Museums, jewelry stores, hospitals, dentists 11 Key benefits Fortimo LED Strip Gen3 Performance upgrade • State-of-the-art LED module efficiency of up to 165 lm/W • New data sheet providing clarity on efficiency on a variation of current and temperature conditions Lifetime • Long life-time: >50,000 hours • New data sheet providing clarity on lumen depreciation BxxLxx on a variation of current and temperature conditions 12 Total cost of ownership Key benefits Fortimo LED Strip Gen3 Design freedom Lumen packages • Two lumen packages : 650 lm per foot and 1100 lm per foot, in order to cover the main lumen/length packages of T5 HE/HO and T8 fluorescent lamps Compatibility Combinations of Fortimo LED Strip modules in one luminaire are possible: • The 102 mm 375 lm LED Strip and the 1 ft 650 lm LED Strip are compatible • The new family additions (1 ft 1100 lm and 2 ft 2200 lm) are compatible • The “new” and “old” designs are not A wider TC range • Market request to use linear modules down to -40oC • Fortimo LED Strip released from -40°C, upper limit in Tc is defined by the upper limit of the respective driver 13 Key benefits Fortimo LED Strip Gen3 Smart system Xitanium Drivers • Adjust current settings to differentiate on lumen output, efficacy and lifetime • Isolated and non-isolated drivers, in fixed light output, 1-10 V and DALI versions High voltage vs low voltage LED Strip Gen3 offers a choice of isolated (lowvoltage) or non-isolated (high-voltage) systems: • Non-isolated system has the advantage of being more efficient and the driver has shorter dimensions • An isolated system allows you to make openlouvered Class II luminaires 14 Fortimo LED Strip system High voltage product and system overview 15 Fortimo LED Strip system Low voltage product and system overview 16 Fortimo LED Strip vs Fortimo LED Line What’s the difference? Similar • The Fortimo LED Strip Gen3 and the Fortimo LED Line offer similar options in terms of lumen output and length, as well as the choice of lumen-per-length ratios. Different • Fortimo LED Strip is narrower, enabling increased miniaturization and use of designer elements in luminaire design. • Fortimo LED Line system is more suited to functional applications and features easier thermal management thanks to its slightly broader dimensions. • We have increased the LED count in the new additions to the Fortimo LED Strip to 24 LEDs per foot, improving light uniformity and optimizing system combinations with our Xitanium drivers. 17 More information Further details • Full range Fortimo LED Strip Gen3 range available from 28th of November • Sample Webshop @ Commercial Release • Product data sheet available @ Commercial Release • For pricing contact your local Key Account Manager 18 Contact details Questions? 19 Name Function Email Tel Jeroen van de Grint Regional Product Marketing Manager [email protected] +31 (0)6 1528 9344 Leon Stofmeel Application Engineer [email protected] +31 (0)6 1178 2402 20 Technology Webinar Agenda www.philips.com/techlearning Philips Lighting Technology webinar program: Nov/Dec 2014 21 21st Nov 2014 CertaDrive LED drivers Guus van Schijndel 28th Nov 2014 SimpleSet technology Reinhard Voorspoels 5th Dec 2014 MultiOne programming Features Linda Janssens 12th Dec 2014 Product Portfolio Q1 2015 Marlijne Willemsen 2 22
