Grandmaster, Masters, Coaches, Referees, and Competitors,
Greetings from Cleveland, Ohio! It is with great pleasure that we invite you and the
members of your school / organization to join in the celebration of our country’s
Veterans and Wounded Warriors. All competitors ages 4-17 are welcome
We will NOT sell E-footgear at this event. Please make sure you have E-footgear –
unless you have paid in advance for the use of spare footgear with your entry fee –
we strongly discourage use of spare e socks.

The use of the DAEDO EBP requires EVERY competitor to wear a special foot
protector which enables automatic electronic scoring for fair play. This foot
protector is to be purchased by the competitor and will NOT be provided for free by
the organizer. Therefore, all Federations school or programs participating at the
Daedo OHIO 2015 Cleveland City Youth Championships are required to order the
appropriate number of foot protectors for their team before November 7, 2014. The
E-Hogu has been licensed by the WTF and has been selected as the PSS for the
London 2012 Olympic Games Taekwondo competition. The Cleveland City Youth
Championships is a single elimination sparring event for the National event and the
single elimination sparring event for the International Open. We as well will be using
WTF Rules for ALL belt 4-17yrs.
Coaches with 10 competitors are FREE!!!
This event will be held at EL HASA TEMPLE in Cleveland Ohio. We are working VERY
hard to afford all the opportunity for all youth that are involved with the martial art
of Taekwondo ITF or WTF to experience a chance to compete at the level Olympians
strive to.
We look forward to hosting you in Cleveland Ohio with the help of our City Council,
Public Safety Fitness and Veterans support us in making this a safe and wonderful
experience. This tournament will become one of the major factors in the
development of athletes. Please give your student a chance to compete using the
same equipment athletes will use in the Rio 2016/2020 Olympic Games.

All competitors must have a clean uniform, safety equipment, mouth piece,
groin protector, shin protector, and forearm protector. (WTF Gloves are
optional) If you do not have all your safety equipment you can NOT
participate. E-Hogus / Helmets are provided all to athletes.
